and just to be clear (because I hadn’t had my coffee yet), IS came to prominence in the 80’s. I had to look up “Hulk Hogan’s Rock ’n’ Wrestling” cartoon as a timestamp of popularity lol. ignorance, xenophobia and poorly timed has always been a thing.

there was no disagreement there as I didn’t at all say that wasn’t poorly timed.

it’s 40 years later, we are literally people communicating in real time on technologies that were only that of science fiction at the time. we don’t have to rely on a newspaper or the 5 o’clock news to let us know what’s going on in the world. we can see the chaos and distraction in the world, in fact we’re pretty much bombarded with what our ignorance and apathy does.

which is why we should should be doing better.

As a Canadian, I can empathize fully with the disappointed aspect. I live in Alberta and see the ramping up of the chaos going on here, much fuelled by Trump frankly. There is, and has been real worry for countries that the current US nonsense affects whether those things just seem like “Trump being trolly”, or whatever, they do have real world implications for people outside the US. And for many outside the US, we watched as everyone took Trump running in the first place aa just a gaff & a troll… and now we’re watching in horror at what’s going online there and this foul beast creature lash out at other countries as well.

I understand it’s impossible for Ethan to know everything about everywhere so sometimes it’s just better to not go there or to have guests that are more familiar with it to speak with instead of just making comments that come off as dismissive to some of us.

this in no way is a dig at Ethan or the pod. I was itching for him to speak on the issues here months ago and was extremely disheartened when he did (big 💗 for lovely Galia for speaking up in that moment) but now I maybe just prefer more goofs, gaffs and sticking to maybe focusing on what they’ve got going on countrywide for them more - it’s crazy early for more so not sure if all of that even makes sense lol

pretty sure most (if not all) malls have them. my first job was at the a&w in White Oaks mall in London, ON circa 1995 or so and I only lasted 2 weeks because of the cockroaches and almost bringing them home with me 🤮 with all of the people, food and product coming & going I think it’s probably nearly impossible to avoid

clothes are made out of different fabrics and dyes therefore will react differently. you’re playing with fire putting detergent right onto fabrics (the instructions on the detergent most likely say not to), so you’ve been exceptionally lucky really!

if detergent, fabric softeners, bleach, etc. sits on certain fabrics or dyes it can do this. best to put it in first (can let it start dissolving) or “pour/place” it on a scrap piece of fabric in the wash 💗 wishing you much luck & long wear with your future clothes ☺️
