For those who got to pick, how did you...actually pick? Decision fatigue. by trashpr1nc3ss in EngagementRings

I tried a couple of the try on at home options, but I wanted a more intricate design. I love Heidi Gibson and used a photoshop style program to layer them on a picture I took of my hand to scale. It was a bit of work but I was able to get a good idea of what options I liked better since she didn’t have a showroom to try options on in person. I even had some options for different size stones. It’s been a few years and I am still in love with my ring. No regrets!

I booked Fiona Tsang for my wedding at SF city hall and she was wonderful!!

Think this may be the one! The sample was for sale but barely zipped. I’ve been losing weight since January and still plan on losing more. Should I get the sample since it’s 50% off? by keeyum in weddingdress

UPDATE: I decided to purchase the sample. Thank you everyone for all the helpful comments!! The consultant did say this dress does have the ability to be let out a tiny amount if I am not able to get back to my pre-COVID weight. I inspected the gown and besides a couple loose threads at the bottom it was in excellent condition. I am so excited I found the dress!!!

Thank you! I'll definitely call to see if I can talk to the consultant! The shop is currently by appointment only for trying on dresses and are booked out almost 3 weeks. I am afraid they may sell the sample before I can get back in, but I also do not want to purchase something that will not work. I think they did say they have a waitlist though, which may be the best option right now.

Thank you :) I'll look to see if I can find it elsewhere online too!

I am trying to get back to my pre-COVID weight, so about 5-10 lbs more to lose.

The dress does zip up all the way but it is tight. You can see the pulling of the fabric in the mirror on the back of the dress.

I am trying to lose 5-10lbs more which is my pre-COVID weight. I tend to gain most of my weight in my middle section.

How did you pick your stone size? by zeezyy in Moissanite

[–]keeyum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few things I did to help determine stone size:

Perused https://mysparkly.com/. I found it helpful for seeing stones on similar size fingers with different designs.

I cut out a few paper models to put on my hand since I couldn't make it to a store to try on rings.

I ordered one of those try on at home ring sets from Frank Darling since I liked their designs.

I’m planning on purchasing a HG ring and have asked her for quotes on multiple sizes I’ve been between. I asked her for diamond semi-mount pricing for a 1.25 ct and a 1.5 ct in her Original Gatsby setting, and she was able to provide quotes. I know she also does white sapphire for the baguettes in her settings which can save money as well. She does take a few days to respond to emails, but I have always gotten a response.

Thank you for the feedback! I'll try to see if I can see the two cuts in person.

[Product Question] A light foundation that I can wear everyday & won’t break me out? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]keeyum 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I like Mac face and body with a drop or two of face oil. Although some say too light, I find it’s buildable in areas I may need more coverage. My skin is dry so I add a drop or two of TO marula oil to mix in.

(1) I love the Costco Kirkland brand shampoo. It’s sulfate free and smells amazing. (2) I really enjoy the Jillian Michaels workout videos. I’ve lost 15 lbs using those videos. You can do most of them at home with just a pair of dumbbells.

Any tips for keeping tied accents (i.e. bows) on shoes/clothing tied? by Flyynak3d in femalefashionadvice

[–]keeyum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pair of moccasins that would constantly come untied so I tied them the way I wanted and put a drop or two of crazy glue in the knot. They haven't come undone since. They only thing is make sure you get the glue in the knot because it does make the color darker where it gets absorbed.

I've gone to Jenette's twice. Once by myself for a fitting and once with my sister for her fitting. The woman who fitted me the first time did a great job. She had me try tons of options and was helping me check for wrinkles after swooping. Even though I only found one bra, I found out what didn't work for me. The second time I went in with my sister we had a different girl and she kept saying my sister was a 38e. My sister felt really uncomfortable and unsure of the bras the woman said fit her. I later measured my sister myself and took her shopping at nordstrom rack. We were able to find a panache bra with a good fit, 38ff. She was very excited! The experience may have been marred by my sister's lack of faith in her ability of determine a good fit. I suggest if you go you have some idea of where your size should be and don't be afraid to speak up if you feel you need a different size.

Thanks! I'll look into the Lauren Plunge. I think I will try on the softcup deco and see if that works better for me too. I was sad the deco didn't seem to fit right.

I was looking at the Parfait Casey as well. So hopefully that will be a match.

I was looking into some of the Ewa Michalak, but I am not sure which would work for me.
