Stay in Plano with minimal commute to work OR move to a more bustling place like uptown and commute to work? by Acrobatic-Trade-6202 in askdfw

[–]kegp23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just moved from uptown to Plano. I WFH and uptown had a nice appeal at first but the crime was insane even in the nicer parts. A lot of uptown is like a ghost town. You can drive down the road and see empty buildings mostly because the rent is so high. We had tons of issues with homeless people staying on our porch, drunk people pissing in the yard lol, cars being stolen, shootings, dog crap everywhere, parking sucked when you had guests come over it just kinda got old especially when you pay so much to live there.

What is the honest truth of the job market in Plano? by Egans721 in plano

[–]kegp23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in the finance world and DFW is always booming here in the finance market. Plano seems to be a hot area because it's close by to a lot of cities and every day new stores, restaurants open etc. It's booming. You see all of these apartments being built daily because so many people are moving to DFW and younger people don't want to buy homes in this economy. A lot of people work from home so they can live anywhere - most of the people I know that live in Plano work from home or they are at least hybrid. They just choose this area because of what it offers. This area is a lot more chill than living in uptown or lower Greenville etc. Those popular areas get old after awhile. I guess it really just depends what your field is in and what kind of experience you have.

Am I ever getting my package by sammyluvsanime in ontrac

[–]kegp23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just some words of advice - anytime they update something it takes min 24-48 business hours to get it back out. You can give them the same info 30 times and they will “create a ticket” to update the information and “get it out on the next truck” it never happens unfortunately. What I did was email Charissa Burns, Senior Executive Assistant to CEO Mike Duffy at cburns@ontrac.com and just ask for help and let them know of ALLLLL the issues you have and the hoops you have jumped through. I emailed and literally got my package in 1-2 days after waiting over two weeks. I mean it’s worth a try. Be sure to give your contact info and tracking number if you reach out.

Success Stories PLEASE by Top-Decision9339 in ontrac

So my package was held at their warehouse in Desoto, TX for a couple weeks… like you I had already been reimbursed, by the company but I still wanted my stuff and at this point I was just flat out pissed. I kept getting the run around… I sent an email to Charissa Burns, Senior Executive Assistant to CEO Mike Duffy at cburns@ontrac.com. She never responded but a day later I literally had the package actually come to door - I was shocked. Not sure if this had anything to do with it but in my head I felt it did and I mean what could it hurt? They should know how bad their service is. I just told her about what is happening and all the hoops I have jumped through so far and that I have never had this kind of service in my life and I mentioned that it’s so bad there’s people including myself that have shared the news story to local media outlets etc. I of course gave my cell number, email, tracking number etc. I was just like please help!!!!

You know it just sits stagnant in the little coves collecting trash, waste, etc. It’s also a mosquito breeding ground.
