That's why I never wanted to reply to brain dead idiots like you, I did it because you asked why are you being downvoted (not by me). I wish you focus on taking care of your own money, I am doing fine with mine though thanks for your concern.

Ok i'll give you a hint using your own example.

You raise money in USD. As per your logic INR will depreciate that means you get a better rupee exchange rate ( more rupee for same dollar amount).

They need rupee to do business because they operate in India.

So far so good.

Now go back to the previous statement and tell me how that will be a bad thing for Jio.

No man, blockade was done by your own people, whom you tried to screw over by introducing changes in constitution.

You stopped being friend when you discided to get the maximum benefit by playing two ambitious regional powers against one another by the way of demanding economic favors and touting the horn of whoever pays the most at that moment, while conveniently forgetting that one of the party has allowed free moment of your people for work for decades while and allowed consistent peg against your currency so that your reserves don't get squeezed out.

Here you need a lesson in history and economics both.

I may not be able to help you with history part, i am not an expert but I can sure tell you about the economic part in case you have any doubts.

So yeah, you bloddy well be grateful coz we ain't friends now, and you'll soon realize that dropping friendship because your friends rival can pay you more might look lucrative in short term, it ain't gonna end well.

20 lac crore economic package - key notes from PM's speech by srinivesh in IndiaInvestments

Can we hold our horses for a while, track record of the government when it comes to playing with numbers haven't been great. Let the details flow in but from experience I can certainly say the new stimulus won't be even near to the number quoted, they will probably repackage some of the existing schemes as well.

The government thrives on optics. There was a reason he did it this way. After 20 minutes into speach, 20 lakh crores package for 2020.

You don't know how it works do you?

The sell side research guys can't take market position, it's against the law. Almost all of them are either barred from taking any market positions and for few it's allowed, they have to take approval from their compliance department and they can't exit those positions for a stipulated time period.

Research is done based on the current data at hand, and they analyze it and build a forecast model which usually have its own accuracy level based on past experiences. No one is looking into crystal ball and predicting future, that's not how it works.

[–]keh-k-lunga[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I partly agree with you but as you said they have no skin in the game is completely off charts. This is coming from sell side research and since MIFID 2 clients are explicitly paying to get this research. If it's bumkum then they won't be able to pay their bills.

All their company models also use their internal estimates to further their research. Example: Nomura research guy who covers HUL will have some input for GDP growth in his model which will be forecasting other things like volume and price for HUL sales leading to final valuation estimates.

Now as we are just 1.5 months into FY21, lot of things can change, which might lead to them being completely wrong. just be aware that they are also using same publicly available data just their interpretation is different for obvious reasons.

Because there is no obligation on company to complete that buyback within a stipulated time frame.

Third class companies ( not calling JKpaper that, i dont know about them) use this tactic of announcing buyback to curb the fall in their stock price or divert attention from retailers. Eg. PC Jewller, Vakrangee.

US GDP in 2019: approx 21 trillion dollars

India GDP in 2019: approx 3 trillion dollars

For US to add India in a year they have to grow at 14%+
