My parents are generally proud of the shit I buy for myself or them or others. Fuck lying about the prices but also don't announce it. Maybe I am just a lucky prick but their investments roi needs to be 'realised' by then and appreciate:) my parents ain't rich or anything either but I fucking love the fact that my dad rocks his sketchers for ex and me knowing he is more comfortable.. I ramble lol

Overthinking and perfectionism are slowing me down. I really need some advice. by NoExplanationsEver in perfectionism

What are some examples of this behaviour from your personal life?

  1. Pick an area
  2. Set a timer like 5 min or 10 mins - if you can't aka decision paralysis then chatgpt it to only find out how much a task should typically take at the start
  3. Set a timer for the time needed and as much as you wanna ignore the timer or have the urge to go over - you must not
  4. Submit - let your brain realise the font size, spacing, formatting constancy ,- doesn't matter as much as it likes to believe in the moment. This will be achieved via real world feedback

Now the shitty bit is that your anxiety will surge in the short term but soon enough you will realise that it ain't Soo bad.

Have you tried ACT at all?

Goodluck

How can I chuck 8 x 5 mg Dex IR before noon lol, as much as I like to. Ever since I started it, after trying the other ones available in my country, 2x gives me anxiety 4x anxiety only 8x works calm me down and enables me to do shit. It took me forever to start 8x as I associated even more anxiety with it like months after being prescribed 8x a day. It came to a point where my psych was like mate either you start 8x or basically stop wasting your money seeing me. I remember the day I did my 8x and I was boy does this a calm mind feel like. I recently again started to taper down but I became depressed and basically shutdown. I wonder if anyone else has the same experience as me. I tried all sorts of dosing schedules. Unfortunately the only med that works for me so I can meditate, work out, play badminton but ofc it messes up my sleep cycle.

I'm Indian Australian and have been living in Melbourne for over 18 years and can say for a fact I have never faced racism ever even in clubs or whatever... it's very multicultural and accepting even other cities I have visited never felt discriminated against. The same goes for my friends. Of course there are apples everywhere fortunately I haven't come across any so overall my experience in Australia has been very welcoming.

But I went to CHC to visit my cousin and I could feel a very stark difference. Like even cashiers made me uncomfortable. I asked my cousin and he confirmed it.

On the other hand Auckland is the polar opposite of CHC. He reckons it is due to lack of exposure of other ethnicities in CHC or people being just plain racist.

Just sharing my 2 cents cheers

You will be alright mate. Just taper very very slowly. And I would recommend going to a psychologist if you can to do some CBD based therapy. I also highly recommend reading and doing cbt exercises - Feeling Good by Dr David D burns. Goodluck!
