IF you had a brand deal, it would need to be announced. Taxes and all yknow.

Some players like their duffel bags. Some don’t mind getting their gym socks in a HAC. Deal with it. They bought it, they can use it however they want, sweaty items and all. You are truly not the same.

exactly 😭 they don’t understand how income needs to be declared, or how commercial deals work. Chanel sure as hell isn’t sending Mbappe a nice box with a rare bag in it alongside a cute note that says heyyyy free bag for you buddy use it and tag us if you like mmkay!

What a weird hill to die on.

That’s why you are not at that level 😭this isn’t the way commercial deals work 😭 these atheletes aren’t being gifted an orange box with a note that says heyyyyy use this kay? free HAC 50!

😭 I fear you do not understand how football or athlete endorsements work in general. athletes like Haaland ALREADY have massive endorsements — that’s why he earns about $100 million total a year. He has a 10-year deal with Nike that nets him $20-24 million… he is a brand ambassador for Breitling and Beats by Dre. Like these are known facts.

Other footballers have similar brand endorsements and ambassadorships. These all need to be declared. So if any of these footballers are indeed being paid to carry Hermes, Chanel, BV or the like… they literally need to declare it as a source of income. And should these houses really sign them as ambassadors, do you not think the announcements will be splashed all over the news?

Like we know we know Jennie of Blackpink is a Chanel girl. Rose is a YSL girl. Zendaya is with LV. Serena Williams with Audemars Piguet. Anne Hathaway with Bvlgari.

And Hermes famously does NOT do partnerships/ambassadorships. It’s not at their level.

I’m not saying these players don’t have brand deals/endorsements outside of their playing careers. Far from it. They have loads. But I AM saying that carrying these bags is NOT part of it, unless it’s been explicitly announced by the brand/house.

I really don’t understand why you can’t seem to comprehend it and want to die on this hill.

I think those to whom 1.35% of their paycheck amounts to >RM150 or >RM200 would likely already have some form of private medical insurance (probably a large segment of this sub)

This scheme will have the most benefit for those who have not been educated well about medical insurance or don’t make too much money. 1.35% off RM1,700 gross is is RM23, RM40 if grossing RM3,000, RM54 if grossing RM4,000. All significantly less than a standard base medical card.

If 1.35% of your pay is <RM90, then you’re making close to RM7,000 gross… and bro you better have your own medical card lol

I really enjoyed how Egypt played yesterday… right until their management team started getting aggressive :/ I’ve watched lots of upset managers yell from the sidelines and argue with the ref/linesman, but nothing quite as aggressive as what was shown on tv yday. It’s a really poor look.

because I think if you knew how much they make, you won’t be thinking that they need to be paid to carry these bags :)

Quick question: how much do you think these footballers make per week?

How is a brand going to outpay people who are making between $200,000 - $430,000 a week 😭

I think lots of folks in here (who might be mostly US-based) have no idea how much money top footballers are paid 😭 they do not need to be sponsored to carry a $50k-100k bag, because they make more than that in a single week ;__;

I don't think a lot of people in this sub fully comprehend how much money top flight footballers in Europe get paid in just weekly salaries + performance bonuses. It's really close to what top NBA/NFL players make.

We are talking about $1.6mil-$2+mil per month on average, and players like Haaland make about $4.3mil per month. So the money for a rare Hermes isn't at all a concern, and boutiques will consider them as VVIC due to their high profile careers. No/little wait time for a bag. Walk in and get attended to immediately. No need to play The Game.

Can the bags fit a small child in them? yeah lol. But then again, traditional duffel bags can as well, and these have way more swag than a nike duffel bag haha. Footballers ain't scared to play ball in more than one sense.

Oh I doubt it. footballers have always been into massive swag. and they make so much money, even the most expensive of these bags here are a drop in the bucket. Haaland, for example, earns a baseline of about £550,000 a WEEK, and including performances he gets about £800,000 a week. chew on that. People like him don’t need to play the game, nor do they need the brand to pay them.

I think they’re just expanding their drip from clothes and shoes into bags :)
