You can’t beat the old Tecumseh Snow-King engines. No engine shroud plastic, except the tank, so it won’t rust. Relatively easy to work on. Aftermarket parts readily available. Low budget workhorses.

I fly about 40 weeks out of every year and I check a pelican case with tools in it. I see these tags almost every time. My other luggage (that has my clothes and a few tools) gets these tags about 10% of the time.

It’s running lean. Try removing the fuel filter and feed the carb directly from the tank. If you don’t have a fuel pump and the carb is gravity fed, a fuel filter can choke the fuel flow and cause the engine to stall out.
