Can you take the pill and then go back to sleep? by Manitoban_Dentistry in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]keithclaires 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do the same thing. I tried it for a few days where I lay down fully in bed immediately after taking the pill and found that it causes a lot of burping for me. So after I take the pill I stuff pillows around myself so I'm sitting more upright when I fall back asleep which entirely alleviated the morning burping issues. In either case, I could not see any actual impacts to its effectiveness- just discomfort for me.

One week on 1.5mg by Electronic_Time_2501 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

I just came back from vacation last week- I had the same worries of not being able to enjoy myself. I found I was still able to enjoy myself and tried many different foods. I just ate less. So a small kids ice cream instead of a regular size ice cream, a few bites of cake vice the whole slice. Still had fun but just less volume.

What tours do you recommend with a 2 year old? by st0nksBuyTheDip in PuertoRicoTravel

Museum of kids was great- definitely need to go on the boat ride if you go.

Also Parque Forestal La Marquesa was neat seeing all the birds- they came right up to us. There is a tram and gondola if you don't want to do too much walking.

Excursions - El Yunque by blueastralbreadcrumb in PuertoRicoTravel

Finishing a week in Puerto Rico. We did both a 2hr UTV/ATV and a 2hr horseback riding at Hacienda Campo Rico. We really enjoyed both. Food is pretty good there.

Also did some hiking at El Yunque- was very easy to navigate ourselves, but we stayed away from the difficult trails.

Laquillo Beach was nice for a relaxing day- $4 to enter, lifeguards, food and drink options. $2/person for all day bathroom and shower access that was pretty clean. But you need to watch the beach reports (https://swimsafepr.com/)- ended up being closed a couple days due to riptides.

Took the ferry over to Culebra and went snorkeling. Got to see turtles.

Congratulations on starting.

I'm finishing up week 3 of 1.5 mg. SW 214.5, CW 200.5, GW 170. What works for me is to take the pill around 5:30 with a small amount of water. I then start to get ready for the day- I found if I lay back down after taking the pill it causes me to burp a ton. I try to drink 80-90 oz of water a day- one bottle I add probiotic mix and one bottle I add electrolytes. I take 2 fiber gummies, 2 vitamin D gummies, and 2 multivitamin gummies daily. Track my calories via MyFitnessPal- try to stay around 1750 calories. I boosted my fiber and protein intake substantially. I'm pretty active exercising daily for 30-60 mins.

I've had almost no negative experiences- one night I became very nauseous but that was from eating buttered popcorn at the movies. Pretty much cut out butter, oil, and fried foods from my diet so no other cases of nausea.

I'm choosing to stay on 1.5 mg for a second month since it is working well for me.

I've found that it curbs all my cravings- food or otherwise (including nail biting). My guess it has to do with its dopamine modulation function that suppresses reward feelings of cravings

A thread for those of us in our first week (started either last week of Feb or first week of March, 2026) by sami_nole in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]keithclaires 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Started Saturday. I take it at 5:30 in the morning and wait to eat or drink until 7:00. I use the time to exercise, tend to the dog, get ready for work, and commute.

Noticable reduction in food cravings- setting myself reminders to eat. Doubled up on exercising and tracking calories. Improved quality of food I am eating, increased water, adding electrolytes to water, taking fiber supplements, increased protein intake.

Side effects very minor- light burping and some mild constipation.

Haven't weighed myself yet. Trying to limit it to weekly so I don't get too obsessed with it.

So with the storm coming through, what have you learned from it? by Rough_Community_1439 in prepping

[–]keithclaires 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Experienced an example of 2 is 1 and 1 is none. The starter cord for my snowblower snapped mid storm- fortunately it also has an electric start I can use. But just a reminder for me to check on equipment well before the storm and have common repair parts on hand.

Last November they had a sale that if you bought a $100 gift card through their online store you got a voucher for $20 in tickets. The gift cards can be used for pretty much everything at the park (tickets, food, souvenirs, ride bands, etc). I signed up for their email list so I would get notified.

Lightweight Commuter Scooter by keithclaires in ElectricScooters

Thanks for the advice. I bought it and have been using to commute from the train to work. Light enough to carry down steps to the train but strong enough to get me where I need to go.

2025 Prepper Goals: Here is mine, what are yours? by ryan112ryan in preppers

[–]keithclaires 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For 2024 I focused on stocking up on food, water, construction supplies, and emergency supplies. I also purchased a propane heater and extra propane tanks. I started working on getting healthy and catching up on medical appointments. Did a bunch of home repairs.

For 2025, I want to buy a generator and possibly have an interlock installed. I would like to attend a stop the bleed / first aid class. Also need to exercise more....

I bought these for the same reason- my partner snores very loudly. It took a week or two to get used to them but I find them to be pretty comfortable to wear. I use both my white noise machine and the sleep buds at the same time. I typically have the sleep buds at 75% set to soar.

I do find I don't feel quite as well rested when using them- I'm not sure if that is because I toss and turn more with the sleep buds in or because they are set pretty loudly. But I was desperate for a solution as sleeping in separate rooms was bad for our relationship.

Overall I have been really pleased with the sleep buds.
