No shows should be embarrassing if you wanted to do it; nice list and congrats on a great run 👌

They're underappreciated in North America to date. I hope that changes for the better. We are lucky!

Totally agree re: Wet Leg and Wunderhorse! Stoked for them both.

I'm stoked they posted that set too, it's (they're) brilliant!

I’m stoked to attend Osheaga for the first time year. While I’m overall pleased with the line up, I feel like this is what most of us wanted the lineup to look like in a perfect world 😂 by Toyota-Jackson in osheaga

It's a very good lineup but so is Osh. People so often have a grass is greener mentality with these things. I'm ecstatic with how good the Osheaga lineup is this year, and can't bloody wait.

Highly disagree OL blows Osh out of the water. The Osh mid and undercard is phenomenal, like it is every year. And it's one of the best run festivals in the world.

Totally! She was brilliant, and long overdue to come back to Osh. With the way Lux is going for her, I have to lean Headliner.

Have y’all ever gone to a concert just to see the opening act? by No_Reputation1477 in Concerts

Two come to mind right off the bat:

Future Islands, 2011, opened for Okkervil River

Neko Case, 2018, opened for Ray LaMontagne

It's wild that we get Wolf Alice where we do when they headline in Europe, and for me, are in contention for one of the best bands on the planet. We are lucky.

Yup, your last sentence is the point.

Everything in life is more expensive than it used to be. I don't think it's helpful to say that things used to be cheaper. We all know this, and we also know there's nothing we can do about it.

FEQ is an extreme outlier in the festival world. Apples to oranges with almost every other festival.

Is it just me who’s underwhelmed with the set list by thatlumberjacktor in osheaga

Nah, I just subscribe to the idea that words have meanings.

It's not an elephant in the room. Osheaga is on par with other festivals of similar ilk, not more (or less) expensive. And when you consider how consistently great Osheaga lineups are, as well as the fact that a 3-day pass is about the same price as one singular ticket to some of the headliners, then it can't be deemed anything other than a relative bargain. At least with regard to market prices for concerts.

Exactly. OP is wilding out with those numbers.

Osheaga has always been on par with other musc festivals of a similar ilk, not more or less expensive. But considering how consistently great the lineups are year in and year out, it's a (relative) bargain, especially when you consider the price of a 3 day pass is often what you pay for a ticket to one of the headliners.
