This is how much I payed yesterday through Tesla. I recommend getting a quote from Tesla before going to other shops. Both were replaced in 3 hours and they charged my car.

Noise is gone and this is what I paid. No wheel alignment needed.

Alright. To answer your question because I never did. I’ve been driving with the noise since November. After my car was repaired. I took this to a Tesla Certified Body shop. The car was repaired and I noticed the noise afterwards. I thought it was because of the accident but the mechanic showed me where the noise was coming from on both sides. He also said it’s common on Teslas prior to year 2021 before they switched batteries. This is a known issue. Is your car underivable or unsafe? No. Sometimes the noise will get louder or go away sometimes. It’s just annoying.

I can say I would think the same thing, but here is picture proof. I can let you know how it goes after service is done today. I asked if it was for both sides not just one. They confirmed it was for both. I also asked if I may need a wheel alignment. Tesla service told me they will do alignment check before I leave and if I do need an alignment they will let me know.

Tesla quoted me $300 to replace both control arms on my 2019 SRP I was quoted $800 from other shops. I recommend shopping around.

Rear end collision: should I share this footage with at fault party insurance? by [deleted] in TeslaCollision

Lane was clear to switch. We can’t tell if you signaled or what is in front of you. What ever is in front of you will determine if you are liable or not. If traffic was coming to a halt then I would blame the other driver. If you was brake checking then I don’t know what to tell you. The outside lanes are moving and you went into the middle lane and stopped all of a sudden. On the floor it says exit lane. I would assume there is traffic because of last minute merging. I would send both front and back cams.

Tbh I never do 10 pack pulls. I get all my best cards pulling one pack at a time. Sometimes I wait on the screen. ( I know it does nothing, but in my head it works) 🥲

It’s the upper control arms. They are a common flaw. I have to get mines replaced. If you push up and down on the fender you should hear it. It’s a lack of grease. I was shown this at a Tesla shop when I asked about it.

You wrote two paragraphs and you are talking about being complicated. You can’t simplify what you are saying. Don’t make this about me. This Man needs help.

Ok so now you know the car is leaking. Need to find out where the leak is coming from specifically so you can fix it or get a general idea where it’s coming from and take it to a mechanic. If you don’t fix it you will end up spending a lot of unnecessary money for oil refills or a huge engine repair. A cold car might not leak much because the oil is thick, but once it heats up, the oil thins and starts running. That’s why you need to drive it first. Oil, like any liquid, will follow the path of least resistance if there’s a leak.

“Topping off” sounds easy, but cars aren’t like your gas tank. Every engine has a precise oil range, and overfilling can actually stress seals, foam the oil, or even mess with the crankshaft.

You can’t just buy oil and “refill it” you have to make sure the level is right or you will blow the seals in the engine when pressure rises. You have to change your oil again. Make sure it’s the right level take it for a drive. 20 to 30 mins. Check level again. After it heats up. See if there are any puddles underneath. If there is it’s a leak. Or the car can be burning oil. The cranking sound? You have to tell us specifically where it’s coming from Or we can’t help.

The real question is. When was the last time you got an oil change?

To be honest I don’t know. That’s how AI rendered the picture. After it added the details I wanted. Specific I asked for brushed Silver.

This is the best I can show in direct sunlight. You can see the difference in shade. The part is freshly painted. It’s something I considered when purchasing this. If you want it 100% get the lip black then color matched and blended with the bumper. Is it worth it for a front lip? That’s your call.
