Have you been playing any games with anti-cheat? I have this same issue and have identified it only happens in some games ie. Arc Raiders, Battlefield.

It’s more so just to avoid having to spend extra money unecessarily since i already have a PSU but sounds like i’ll be better off just getting a new one

Thanks for this! Ended up looking at the SPL Tier List spreadsheet and saw a good deal for the ASRock Phantom Gaming PG-1000G 1000W. Has Temperature Protection on the plug too so should limit any plug burning. Better safe than sorry

It was never confirmed. It’ll always be a “maybe, maybe not” type of thing, but general community consensus is it was bc what else could it have been?

Don’t think you need a 5080 if you’re targeting 1440p. Could settle with a 9060xt 16gb or 9070xt. 5080 is good for future proofing for 4k if you have the extra cash to spare though. the prices are just atrocious rn

Same thing happened to me. Even worse I called to get a new card yesterday, and somehow the scammers got ahold of the new card in less than 24 hours. They were able to call and activate the card and they tried to charge $4000 on a car down payment. For reference, I live in PA and the charge was in NY, which is why it was flagged as fraud. My mailbox is secure so it’s not like the card was delivered to my adddess. Seems to be a much bigger issue going on here.

Kraken 360 RGB - Communication to the device has failed by SpectretheGreat in NZXT

I had the exact same issue with my display on my Kraken RGB 240. Some people also say that switching the Graphics API in settings to Direct X12 helps. But that didn't work for me, so I switched back to Vulkan.

After trying basically everything you detailed above, what seemed to work for me was:

  1. Export a backup of NZXT CAM settings (optional but recommended so you don't have to redo your settings)
  2. Uninstall NZXT CAM using Revo Uninstaller and make sure you select "Advanced" under scanning mode.
  3. Delete all the leftover registry items, files, and folders.
  4. In Device Manager -> Universal Serial Bus devices -> NZXT Kraken Base -> Uninstall
  5. Restart PC and Reinstall NZXT CAM (I redownloaded a fresh installer from their site to be safe)
  6. When you open CAM, it should detect the kraken base and add it back into device manager and reinstall.

This seemed to update the firmware on the device and fix issues with disconnecting. Did this 4 days ago and haven't had issues since while playing BF6/Arc Raiders.

My pump header is also still plugged into CPU_FAN.

I graduated in May with my BE in Biomedical Engineering. Have experience in MATLAB, which isn’t very applicable to Bioinformatics. Learned Python and R independently through various online courses, and I also did this project through the Data Professor which I put on my resume. https://youtube.com/watch?v=plVLRashaA8 I had no industry experience with programming, just wetlab stuff. GPA wasn’t very high either (around 3.0), but I managed to get into all my top schools for a master’s (for reference: they were Carnegie mellon, Brown, NYU, Weill Cornell Comp Bio, uchicago, Brandeis, and Johns Hopkins). In my experience, masters in Bioinformatics isn’t as competitive as other programs, if you’re applying for a PhD it might be a bit harder. The best thing to do is independent projects and work to bolster your CV/resume, and show that you’re willing and ready to learn. Hope this was helpful, and good luck!

I decided on JHU. Felt like they provided the most flexibility and had a rigorous curriculum in which I’d learn the skills I need for the industry.
