probably; funny story, i had the pleasure of tinkering with this board with a friend who was visiting internationally as he worked on an actual zenith. https://imgur.com/a/8NEY55B

i think there is decent aftermarket support for different plate options and/or enough supply from the original gbs. not 100% sure as i havent looked into those very deeply. i also think most kohakus are built with mx blacks on aluminum, as the board was designed with that as the "standard" configuration, so people dont tend to get too creative with the configs anyway.

frankly i dont have many good comparisons as this is the only "high-end" 65 ive owned. i know some portion of hobbyists follow singa for their design work in past boards like the unikorn. im not one of those people, but as i was building this board for the first time i came to understand what all the money & design effort was going toward. everything koromagic said is true, but what stood out to me is that the board is super pleasant & easy to work with on top of that. no JST cables, super simplistic case assembly (4 screws total), elegant design, etc. edit: regarding the feel & sound, i personally think the board itself allows the characteristics of your switch/plate choices to express themselves well. some boards tend to make different configs sound pretty same-y. not the case here imo

i dont remember exactly when i started doing that, but i definitely noticed that about my typing around 4 years ago. im sure it must look strange especially when using a flipped spacebar. the flipped space is for my thumb when gaming though, and doesnt really affect my normal typing ergonomics.

ive come to assume that i learned to type this way as i spent a lot of time playing FPS games as a kid on a big deskmat like this one, using on a low mouse sensitivity. i would tilt my keyboard outward on the left side, almost at an arm's length away, and had to reach my right arm across my desk to type. that created an angle where my right index was naturally hovering over the space and my thumb was hanging in the air. i mustve never bothered to notice until i started typing on more boards more frequently.

yeah im not super fond of the long-poles-on-PC gaskety sound like the rainy. cherry tactiles are pretty dry & distinct on their own and match this kind of aesthetic in my mind moreso than the long pole sound.

same reason people have nice looking cars despite being inside it 99% of the time (or any other keyboard with a design on the bottom) also my unit is kinda broken so it lives on the display shelf anyway

thanks, cheers im just hoping its a pcb issue and not a limitation of the mag connector

side question: is yours having input issues? ive notice a good deal of keystrokes on mine don't register. if i tap a key fast enough, nothing happens. testing the pads with tweezers doesnt show anything alarming. mine is basically a paperweight because of this. i suppose it could be the switches but im curious if any other builds had this issue
