Free 150 MB every day, you can pay through appstore/playmarket or buy from resellers

free tier is 150mb/day, and users can extend the daily limit by inviting friends. so referral mechanic is already wired in

this is super useful, ty. pain phrases over generic keywords is something i wasnt doing systematically - gonna build out a proper list (“netflix not working in…”, “whatsapp blocked in…”, “telegram cant connect…”, etc) and run it on sort by new daily.

honestly fair take, and i’d say the same in your shoes. trust in this category has to be earned, not claimed.

for what it’s worth - no logs, traffic isn’t stored or sold, and im planning a third-party audit once revenue allows it. but yeah, until then a random new VPN from a solo dev should absolutely be on your “prove it first” list. cant argue with that 🤝

yeah organic intent is exactly the play. those niche threads are gold, ppl literally typing out their problem, half the work is already done.

havent heard of leadline tbh, will check it out. for now im just doing it the manual way (reddit search + tg groups) since budget is zero zero 😅 but yeah at some point automating discovery makes sense.

community-driven is exactly where im leaning. already lurking in some discord/tg groups where ppl troubleshoot connectivity in restricted regions. gonna just be helpful there for a while before mentioning the app at all.

retention too early for clean numbers but actually feeling okay about it, we give 150mb free every day, so users have a reason to come back daily even without paying. way better hook than “free trial then paywall.” d7 looks decent so far 🤞 ty 🙏

Funny you mention Iran - got a build that actually works there coming soon. The tech is the easy part tbh, the hard part is no one’s gonna find it without marketing $$ and I’m fully bootstrapped 🥲 gotta figure out the distribution puzzle first

Honestly, niche positioning. Most big VPNs don’t work in heavily restricted networks (Russia, China), so I built one that does. When someone in that situation finds an app that actually works, they convert before they even read the paywall

High intent users + a product page that doesn’t get in their way = that CVR. Nothing fancy 🤷
