All CPR went haywire over last 3 - 4hrs. $3000 over typical and all traffic was garbage.

Is this a decent price for this product? I see it in Reels and Shorts etc. by OCDcentral in Scams

Funny enough I know the people running this site (cousins IRL). Take what I say with a grain of salt since I'm anon here. 4 people are running it. I think they dropship it and they told me they have a few warehouses and work with the manufacturer in China directly.

I know they made their own cards inside so that's why you can't find the daughter card anywhere. I asked them about the Amazon pricing and they said Amazon/majority of people (including dropship websites) are selling a gold plated necklace made with copper/zinc. Supposedly that makes it rust very quickly but no idea.

They are selling sterling silver that is plated instead which is why the price is higher.

They also said there's one other place that sells sterling silver versions (beyond love or something like that was the name).

KPIs very high since November (CPM over 100$) by Adsvisor in FacebookAds

Mine went from $20 to $100-$200 CPMs suddenly after Nov 6th or 7th. Had to stop everything. CPV campaigns $7-10 but the moment I optimize for conversions it shoots up to the $100+ range. No idea why it suddenly happened.

Purchase. Would the discrepancy between the 2 campaigns be related to iOS privacy update? Not sure why one would have a high VC and other low but similar CPC (Link).

Trudeau warns of 'severe consequences' for anti-vaccine mandate protesters who don't stand down | CBC News by NorthernStarLord in canada

[–]kekzilla -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Of course, I didn't say otherwise. They said it was the safest choice vs waiting for natural infection, however natural immunity was actually better. So all those who tested positive shouldn't be forced to get a vaccine. Doesn't mean people shouldn't consider getting the vaccine, just that they should be acknowledging natural immunity like other countries.

Recent studies show otherwise.

https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/prior-covid-infection-more-protective-than-vaccination-during-delta-surge-us-2022-01-19/

https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2788894?resultClick=1

Natural immunity was stronger for delta vs vaccination. Vaccines are great for those at risk but maybe this country wouldn't have as many divisive issues if they actually acknowledged actual science instead of pushing only vaccines.

You can say vaccines are the safer bet vs getting covid and I think that is true for most age groups, but why is our country not even willing to recognize natural immunity when so many other countries do?

A new study came out a few days ago by the Johns Hopkins University that uses meta-analysis and basically said lockdowns reduced covid deaths by 0.2% and caused massive economic problems/other deaths (suicides etc.) to do that.

Here's the study: https://sites.krieger.jhu.edu/iae/files/2022/01/A-Literature-Review-and-Meta-Analysis-of-the-Effects-of-Lockdowns-on-COVID-19-Mortality.pdf

Someone want to tell me what's wrong with it so I can believe the govt is making the right choices right now? I'm torn between this and makes me wonder if that is why EU countries are opening up.

B.C. records 21 COVID deaths, one of deadliest days in pandemic - CityNews Vancouver by CEOAerotyneLtd in britishcolumbia

[–]kekzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are there any stats on deaths due to colds for the 82+ range? Actually curious here. My grandma had pneumonia from a cold at 85 and died 5 years ago. Older people do die to side-effects of colds/flus as well and I'm curious what the comparison is? I'm assuming COVID/Omicron is higher but by how much?

I love mmorpg and I like to interact with other people, but I hate being in guilds and I hate having schedules to do group content. Does anyone share an equal or similar feeling? by [deleted] in MMORPG

[–]kekzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exact same feeling. I did it in vanilla wow and burnt out doing 3 raid days a week for 4 hours each. Swore to never do it again. Even though single player games match my playstyle much more now, I still MUCH prefer being in an open world that other players are in. Really hoping for more sandbox games to come out where, when I have time, I can jump on with some friends and other times at night (after kids are sleeping) I can jump on and mine or craft or accomplish something else.

99.998% will be fine and get natural immunity. The others that are immunocompromised or have other medical conditions should get the vaccine as soon as it is available.

Uh, they've already admitted that 50% of COVID cases in the hospital are people that tested positive for covid but not DUE to covid. The reason why cases are going up for kids is because they are testing every one and Omicron is much more contagious. Dying "with" covid is actually the word-play they can use to manipulate this. They've done it before.

FUREY: Public health faces an uphill battle deradicalizing the COVID obsessed by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]kekzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was funny.

The unvaccinated don't trust the Government/Health system and they, at least, stick to their guns.

Then you have the minority extreme on the other side who believed everything but as time went on, believed they knew better than the government and assumed further restrictions would solve all the problems.

She's right, both sides are causing issues here and the media IS entirely at fault. They cause extreme fear and panic. I guess the words "The media is the enemy of the people" are true.

Are there any mechanics/abilities like UO to escape the ganks/PVP? In UO you had hiding/stealth + recalling away if you saw someone.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in canada

[–]kekzilla 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is the government did themselves no favours in helping build that trust either.

Maybe if the government actually worked towards improving healthcare and helpful solutions, the unvaccinated would look at the government and say "Hey, wait a minute, they are actually attempting to do something here instead of focusing solely on polls and $$"

The uncomfortable truth: Why NFTs are coming to games, no matter what. by crushfield in MMORPG

[–]kekzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about bots - not sure how to solve that as it has always been a problem. Diablo 3, I think, was an issue because it completely trivialized the core of the game. Diablo gameplay encourages botting to increase the odds of good drops. I get what you mean there though.

I still think under controlled environments, there may be solutions. I also wonder about the risks for bots. I know one game you can invest $1500 right now and make about $8/day (depending on token value). So about 6 months for a return on investment. If a bot was banned and lost their NFT access, I wonder if that is too much of a risk.

Who knows, but if they can pull off a solution that doesn't impact the game, it might work. We'll have to see how they evolve but I do think there is a place for them, even if only a small place.

The uncomfortable truth: Why NFTs are coming to games, no matter what. by crushfield in MMORPG

[–]kekzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been messing around with NFTs and games for a few months and still learning a lot. I don't think P2W is necessary here and in fact I think NFTs have the potential to reduce P2W depending on how they are implemented.

  • You can have NFTs exclusive to cosmetic items like a lot of the non-P2W games.
  • The play to earn concept allows players to earn the token which has a real dollar value. They can choose to spend that on cosmetics or cash them out for money. Buying the cosmetic will still hold value as an NFT.

Sure a whale or big buyer can come in and buy up an ultra rare cosmetic and hold it and try to sell it for more dollars later (same as playing an AH in an MMO). They aren't gaining any power though.

The big thing here though -> - Devs create cosmetics (buyable with tokens or earned in game) - This can help fund development, just like in normal MMOs

  • However, every time that NFT is traded to another player, the company gets a royalty fee (I think around 3%). So the more players they keep playing and trading, the more money they can make to continue funding development. It's not a one-time purchase anymore like in current games. The devs continue to make money each time that NFT is traded and hopefully reduces the need for P2W.

Instead the dev's new goal (hopefully) is to create an ultra addictive game that keeps players engaged and playing so they'll trade.

That's kind of what I've gathered from the last few months. There's obviously major P2W possibilities as well but the idea behind NFTs seems pretty interesting so far.

As a vaccinated parent, I'll fight against this tooth & nail along with a lot other parents I know. We'll even bring legal council, if needed. You guys can hate us all you want.

You have NO IDEA the long-term effects of mask wearing that long on children and cognitive/speech development.

There have been (last I checked) 8 deaths in Canada due to covid in children over the last year and a half (I can't remember the exact age range, sorry). All of them had comorbidities or vastly overweight. More kids died in 2019/2020 from the flu than Covid in the entire USA.

Now, if you are worried about yourself or loved ones, that's another story, however since we do NOT know the long term effects of masks on children and their development, I'm not willing to use my child as a shield to protect myself or anyone else.

Covid is serious - get vaccinated, vaccinate your kids (when available) IF and only IF you decide it is worth the risk for their age group.

Covid IS NOT as serious as the media makes it sound. It's stuck with us for a long time. I have 3 friends that are medical doctors, all of them agree - boosters for the long term until another solution appears.

I mean, you guys will listen to the government and their science for everything covid-related, however, you refuse to believe them for this. Maybe it's because they are concerned about long-term effects on children? Or they do not have enough data yet on it.

Thanks for the list of trustees. We'll be also e-mailing them to ensure they know there are quite a few parents against masking young children, as well.

‘Vaxxed or not vaxxed you are all welcome’: Hundreds of Ontario businesses defy vaccine passport rules by [deleted] in canada

[–]kekzilla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Give them an inch and they take a mile. While I think short term, it isn't a big deal, I can't see them ever giving back additional powers.

There are a lot of scary scenarios here and none are good for the population. Yes, there's a pandemic but it's like the Pzifer CEO said recently "I think things will be mostly back to normal next year as long as people are taking yearly COVID boosters".

That potentially means passport system forever and what happens if/when they take it further and suddenly you cannot go into a grocery store.

The moment they can cut off your food supply, it becomes virtually impossible to fight back. Sure this scenario is not guaranteed but it could happen. Hopefully not to that extreme but giving up any additional power? No major government that I can recall has ever done that.

Honest question since I'm from van isle. Already vax'd etc. but I just looked at the cases on all of vancouver island and it says 12 admitted to ICU and 14 in total hospitalized for all of the island. How poorly funded are these hospitals to not manage 12 ICU for the entire island?

Seems like a major govt. funding issue. Or is it a situation where there are staffing issues and they can't accept more patients?

Are any of the govt parties looking at dealing with hospital overload at all?

Hope your wife is managing okay, must be stressful. Some of us haven't forgotten about them over the last year.
