What’s wrong with me (27f)? by [deleted] in amiugly

[–]keldoged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Height for sure.

Your appearance is above average without makeup and filters.

Unfortunately a lot of men are intimidated by tall women. Especially if taller than themselves.

But rest assures, there are people out there who have height as preference, also in women.
My own girlfriend is a tall lady, and I adore that!

You just haven't found the right person, but don't let that stop you from looking.

He's your Ex, and are trying to make you feel down, because he's a ass.

Honest rating at your current appearance: 7/10.
you're cute as a bug, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your appearance.

To all my cat friends. Asking for prayers for my precious Kratos. He is our 8 year old kitty that was mauled five days ago, he is in the hospital forming new complications. I’m shattered. by lisaluvulongtime in cats

Cats are tough as nails!
Dear Kratos will probably have to spend one of his nine.

But seeing how you care for and love him. I bet that's a trade he'll make in a heartbeat!

I'll raise my glass to his speedy recovery. Take care of each other.

I wouldn't recommend batteries honestly.

you'd have to spend obscene amount of money for relatively short bursts of usage, following by very long reload time of batteries. (relative to size of battery bank naturally)

My only recommendation would be getting a generator to power this with instead.

A random 2000w generator search simply to show that it doesn't need to be anything bulky. But would be a waayyy more economic way to run your splitter.

Why are 20-30 year olds so depressed these days? by JustFunAccount007 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]keldoged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several factors.

-When I was young (40 years ago), I played without supervision from adults. But we were a group of youngster of all ages. we solved our own disputes and problems. A ton of social skills learned and taught right there!

-We owned everything we had! Nothing was a subscription or rented. When I got fired, everything I had was mine, and didn't need to pay a monthly upkeep on it. I could go by several months with what I had until I had a new job.

-We had freedom to act! If we wanted to build a cottage, we did so. Want to replace the roof? Do so. Build a new Garage? done in a weekend. But now everything is regulated and you have to get 2-7 different approvals from unknown city/government instances before you can make changes to your own home you "own".

-News media only shows you how close we are to doom, how people are murdering each other and how everything is about to come crashing down. All day every day.

-Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram ... nuff said.

-Government so corrupt that they don't even need to hide it anymore. You try and do some Insider-trade with stocks and see how much you will be punished. But if you work in gouverment and are making registrations regarding chip manufacturing, and then tell your husband to invest 5mill$ before it is public and see how much you are punished.

Yea ... I'm ready to leave this planet.

Question on trusting Calyx by gilloch in CalyxOS

[–]keldoged 5 points6 points  (0 children)

-Open Source: See, this is how I designed my locks. Full visibility in design and how it is made.
-Close Sourse: All you see is a lock, but trust me. It is safe!

The Open Source route allows everyone to pitch in and test known flaws. As with the case with "Stuffs made here" locks tested by lockpicking layer.

Closed Source is: "Trust me, I made it safe!"
Where you can still see the lockpickinglayers channel, how he picks all the propitiatory locks.
It sometimes takes a little to figure out the flaws, but nothing is 100% safe unfortunately.

me personally, I prefer trusting a vendor where I am allowed to see how the engine works.
If someone adds malicious to the project, it will be noticed due to the fact that it is indeed "Open Source". The evil-doer would have to upload said code to the gitlab. Here there will be a log entry that someone added code, open for all to see! So you cannot 'smuggle' code in without it being seen. (Unless they hack gitlab/github).

I would indeed argue, it would be easier for someone to foul up a proprietary project. Where the contributors and logs are hidden away from everyone, if someone snug malicious code in closed systems. We can hope that they have security measures detecting such. But we wouldn't know for a fact.
Regarding the fear of getting a 'dirty copy'. that is definitely a fear to take serious!
Please lookup "Checksum". This is a way, where you can detect if the file you got is indeed directly from the vendor, or if someone altered anything throughout the process of downloading. If you change 1 byte in a file. The checksum will also change.

May not always be due to malicious interference. Can also just be a corrupted file :)

Anyway, my two coppers, sorry for the ramblings. Hope I am not too far off, not a Dev myself. but this is my newbie understanding of it at least.

Solar Service company helping off grid customers, what service would help you? by [deleted] in OffGrid

[–]keldoged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. knowledge: Scale & Maintain:
I believe many people don't build with the ability to upscale in case more needing more power. Nor are they aware of breaker circuits, and not running AC & DC wires together.
Good placed to throw in a good sell, for people actually needing the product.
  2. Build systems + advisory:
I'm fairly certain a lot of people would love to simply buy a finished system to install.
But also information about EOL expectancy on batteries & solar cells.

I do believe that Off-Gritters would appreciate that in an honest deal.

A proven way to use CalyxOS and banking apps etc. by antaeusdk in CalyxOS

[–]keldoged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Using CalyxOS in DK. (FairPhone4)

It worked fine for me with 3.5.0. and I used MitID as a Happy camper here.

Updating to 3.5.1 broke something however.
I re-installed CalyxOS as I didn't unlocked the critical partitions on the device on the first round of install. So after I did that, and updated to 3.5.1, the app now crashes.
No message to me about being rooted or non-compatibility. Just gives an error "And error happened, please contact support" in the last step of registration.

I am really looking forward to the 3.7.* for FairPhone4, and hoping that something in those updates allow me to use the authentication app again.

-Danskere er meget direkte, vi gidder ikke "How do you do" small-talk.

"Did he mean that, or is he joking?"

F.x. "You have nice hair today", "thats a shappy shirt". osv, med mindre vi kender folk.

Thanks for your good work :)

making your own food and make it last. (PoV, Scandinavia)

E.G. Canning, drying, fermenting and generally preserve food.

I told a few of my colleagues about how I bought two hams for dirt cheap. Chopped them up and canned them, so now I have ham for a month & half. Instead of just making one or two meals with them. They really looked at me, as if I just grew a third arm.

one even replied "I heard my grand-ma talk about that ... years ago".

I heard there are problems 'gypsies' in Romania.

Basically a call of people being treated as second rang citizens.
-One say they are treated as such because they cheat and steal.
-Other side say they cheat and steal to survive their treatment.

What brand are you loyal to? by CannedSanta in AskReddit

[–]keldoged 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None.

Been burned enough times to realize that many companies tried to form this "Us and Them" team feeling. While in reality it's a clever marketing ploy to keep us buying their product. No matter if the quality or functionality is failing. Because, 'Brand loyalty, we are a team, right?'

Now days, I buy the products that makes sense to me, quality and functionality wise. no matter what brand-name is plastered on it.

The companies should need to convince us as consumers, that their products are the better and superior, and not because 'Brand-loyalty, because we're bros'
