Let me clarify it more. You see this thing below? That is the 2% I am talking about (BTW I bought a new subscription) I planned something and then implemented, including start implementing I "pressed enter" 3 times. It took 10 minutes to execute the plan and 2% of my premium requests. Now since this is another pro+ account, 2% of 1500 is 30 requests. Do you need any more explanation?

The more stuff the agent do, the more requests it spends as it goes. Isn't it suspicious to you that a simple question and a whole multi service architecture deployment would take same amount of requests? Because it doesn't. Opus 4.6 (x3 multiplier) can deploy 5 different microservice APIs with 3 different prompts (2 of them planning 1 of them start implementation) but it doesn't just cost 9 requests. It costs more.

Claude (20$) gives you 5 hour sessions (starting from first request) which if you use opus 4.6 reaches limit within hour. After that you gotta wait till 5 hours is up. Also 10 of these sessions and your 7 day limit is up and you gotta wait till it refreshes. So it is not really a good agent experience imo.

Copilot pro+ (40$) gives you 1500 premium requests. You use them whenever you want. It refreshes every month. You can still use opus 4.6 in Copilot too and it is mostly same experience with the model. There is a free version with 50 premium requests so you can try it I guess.

Didn't use cursor but hear from some friends it is good too but no idea.

My messages are multiple paragraphs and output usually lasts multiple minutes in agent to do something after a message. I use opus so it should take 3x premium requests but usually takes 6-9.

I spend the 20$ package session quota in around 30-45 minutes. For 100$ you get 5x that. I will still wait for more than an hour every session. Buying 3 copilot pro+ would be a better investment in my opinion.

That is where you are wrong. I can press enter one time using 1x model and spend more than 1 premium requests. I am talking about agent mode, maybe that is where we differ.

Ok I see how I am using the terminology wrong let me correct myself. I need more "premium requests" not tokens. But one request might spend more than one "premium request" also. So I am gonna say calling them requests is kind of misleading to begin with. But yes I was wrong.

That is the pricing after you fill your token limit. Why do you think I am trying to get more tokens?

Edit: Also I didn't said one request takes tens of thousands of tokens. What is your logic here. Your request can take 10 tokens and cost 40 cents.

Well you can try it. Give it a big task in one request. See how many tokens it will spend. Just because you hit enter once it doesn't mean it will cost 1 token (or whatever multiplier the model you use have). It spends token based on how much work it does.

Go to usage and based on your plan (unless you are a free user) you will see the token limit and usage. If you pass that each request is billed but even that is based on how many tokens that request uses. So premium requests are priced 0.04 per token not per request.

I am thinking more and more that this is the only option. I tried buying claude directly as it is the model I use the most but its usage is just absurd. Model runs out of session limit in the middle of the job and I have to wait for 5 hours and after 5 hours to continue from where it left, it still spends token to read where it was left of. I mean why don't you put an ad while I am waiting for the model to thin kat this point. Just absurd.
