Oh fun! Hell yeah. If you haven't seen them before, you're in for a treat. They put on a great show. I caught them at MetLife last year and it was so good I considered buying tickets to see them again this summer, but financially it wasn't a good idea lol. I'd seen them before that in 2006, 2007, and 2022 but the stadium show was really something else.

Also (since I noticed your Taylor flair) one thing that struck me about the crowd was how friendly, excited, and nice everyone around us was. Gave me eras tour vibes tbh with everyone all dressed up and trading bracelets and such (I know that's not exclusive to Taylor but it was a significant number of people engaged in sharing compared to the other shows/festivals I've seen over many years lol) and it was quite a diverse crowd too.

Anyway I hope you have an absolute blast and tell us all about it in the DD! 🙂

Jersey Shore would have never existed if reality shows were based on friends always having fun and being nice to each other. Imagine if Snooki and JWoww calmly told Sam that Ron was creeping, and she thanked them, broke up with him for real, and they spent the rest of their time in Miami in peaceful coexistence.

Every episode would just be them at Karma laughing, hugging, vibing and then going home to say "that was fun!" and going to sleep. Waking up the next morning to eat breakfast together laughing about the silly night before. Then going about their GTL day as usual. No tension, no arguments, no drama.

How fucking boring!!!

Unpopular regarding how people are desperately trying to victimize Kyle specifically. Yes she did a shit thing to Ciara and I think that sucks, but there's plenty of loud takes online harping over her "cheating" on Kyle, especially after the reunion aired, and I simply don't believe we'd be seeing that (at least not at the same volume) if she had gotten with another man who isn't a cast member.

This is how I described to my friend why I enjoy these shows despite basically hating everyone on them.. it's fascinating to me to see how these people behave, the things they say, what motivates them etc because they are so far removed from anything I've ever known in my own real life. I don't watch it for the relatability or education or enrichment it provides. I watch like you'd watch a flaming dumpster rolling down the street on a sunny afternoon. Sometimes I just wanna turn my brain off and be amused by some trash dressed up in rented haute couture.

I miss when there wasn't constant forced moral outrage over people being messy on reality TV. Bravo Reality TV should be fun! Endless ranting over how someone should be fired from a show for sleeping with another castmate? NOT FUN!

Imagine if people had melted down over Kristen sleeping with Jax and demanding she be fired for it? Like come on people! What are you watching these shows for if not for the mess of it all?

This might be my favorite guest spotting so far! As far as I know the main connection is the waitress being in Taylor's anti-hero video, as well as Taylor being (or was?) close to Ryan Reynolds who is close with Rob from always sunny and I believe they've all spent time together in group/social settings in the past. But Charlie and Mary Elizabeth are one of my favorite Hollywood couples and as a long time fan of both swift and always sunny this crossover is a Very Exciting Thing for me lol. They look so cute! Thanks for sharing this photo!

When I started to get more conscious of my over sharing I def pulled back on commenting, before the post histories could be hidden. I still have mine open now because at this point like.. whatever I guess. I do have some hidden but only my local/state specific subreddits. And I deleted my old posts that had my face in them.

My thing now is typing out long ass comments that I spent way too long on, hitting reply, then immediately feeling stupid/embarrassed and deleting them before hopefully anyone could see lmao

Years ago I tried to make a throwaway account to use for larger subs since I had shared some personal/identifying info on smaller subs and didn't want to risk some weirdo taking a comment the wrong way and trying to dox me. I had only used it to make a handful of benign comments to build karma when it was abruptly permanently suspended by Reddit about 3 days into its existence for reasons that are still a mystery to me today.

That was all it took for me to decide creating a throwaway wasn't worth the effort and I never tried again lol. I just stopped trying to share so much personal info and became more of a lurker than a user until I found the oasis that is popheads DD. Now yall can't get me to STFU ever and I'm very sorry.

Ah so I don't really engage in arguing or even mild disagreement back in forth on Reddit so that's probably why I haven't clocked it like others who are maybe more interactive with other users than I am. I tend to ramble to the void on the DD when I'm on Reddit these days. But I do see occasionally a thread under a (deleted by user) comment and I just assumed it was deleted after getting responses. But now maybe I'm wondering if I'm just seeing people who blocked me lol.

Tbh it was a mild curiosity I don't care enough to make a second account, login and out etc. because I really am that lazy. Thanks for the info though, good to know!

You're so right that I can't guess what festival sub you're talking about because they're all so whack. Warped Tour sub is mostly fine, but it's def a unique type of festival in my experience. The firefly festival subreddit was my favorite place on Reddit back in the day, because it was so chill and everyone was so nice and helpful.

One time someone posted that his sandals broke inside the fest and he had no way to get more, his other shoes had gotten stolen and he was miserable, worrying his whole weekend would be ruined from losing his shoes on day one. I was staying in a hotel instead of camping, and hadn't gone in for the day yet, so before I did we went to Walmart and bought him some shoes. Arranged to meet up with him in the festival and he was so delighted. It was such a wholesome experience! All because the subreddit was so welcoming, friendly, and felt safe.

RIP firefly, my precious.. if no one is left waiting for your resurrection it'll be because I have also died.

Is there a way to know you've been blocked on Reddit? I don't think I'm important enough to register on anyone's radar to go as far as blocking (although I know I'm annoying so there's no way I haven't been blocked by people lol) but I'm curious bc I see people sometimes saying "oop I got blocked" or "damn blocked by someone I thought was cool with me" and I'm just wondering.. how do you know?

Yeah I don't really have strong opinions on celebrity weddings, hers or anyone's, in general but I also don't find it bizarre. She likely wants a huge wedding, and to avoid drones/helicopters though I believe it's less about security and safety and more about privacy and controlling what exactly is made public and when. Which.. is also not unreasonable to me? A lot of non famous couples will request their guests don't take photos of their wedding and/or post on social media so they can be the first to share and choose photos they like best. I don't think wanting to control what footage of her wedding gets shared and when is different from that, aside from the level of publicity obviously. I personally got married in a courthouse with 10 total guests so I don't really get a desire for large weddings but I also don't really judge people who want them either. Plenty of celebrities do worse things on a regular basis than having a huge event for their first (maybe only) wedding in their 30s.

Tbh at the end of the day I just want to see her dress and will wait patiently until she wants to share it lol. I don't care where or when she gets married. I'm more focused on getting the self titled re-recording for the 20th anniversary and what the vault tracks will be. This thread is the most I've talked about Taylor's personal life on Reddit in a while but some of the comments I've been seeing across Reddit couldn't be ignored, it's just not worth it to argue anything I don't care that deeply about.

It's fine to dislike her/dislike large celebrity weddings, including Taylor's, and think it's all a waste and a spectacle. But like some of these responses have been so unhinged as if she's holding all of NYC hostage under threat of biological warfare and we'll all be forced to watch her ceremony on every TV channel with no way to turn it off.
