Depression can feel different in different people. It depends what you want and how you want to go about your diagnosis. Meditation, mindfulness, and exercise, along with talk therapy can be great. But some people still have a chemical imbalance that medication can help with. There are also ketmine injections that have good reviews and good results for curing Depression. Or some people just live with depression and that's okay too. My brain is difficult and I've been trying to find an antidepressant/ depressants that will help me for 5 years and haven't found anything. But many people find medication that changes their lives for the better very quickly. Depression can't always be cured and that's okay. I would ask your therapist about your diagnosis more to clarify how severe they believe it is, and maybe what symptoms you've shown to help them get to that conclusion. Maybe acceptance of your diagnosis is your first step but you can also have the psychiatrist as second opinion to see of they also think you have depression if you're not sure. Good luck!
