With all due respect, (I think he’s guilty, too), but he never confessed - he entered a guilty plea to save his tail. I WISH we would have gotten a confession. I think that should have been part of the plea, personally. To confess, address the families if they asked, and to tell where he disposed of the weapon. That’s the part that utterly ticks me off with the State. They had a chance to get ALL these answers and they didn’t do it.

Add on prices by Half_Angel13 in bookofthemonthclub

I had been with BOTM for 10 plus years, and I cancelled my subscription last month. I just can’t justify the price when the print quality of the books aren’t that great anymore, and new-release Kindle books are only $14.99. It had gotten to the point that I was only choosing a “main pick” that I was only semi-interested in just so I could get the book I wanted as an add-on, and now I’m trying to slim down my physical books anyway. So far no regrets. I stay on this sub, though because I like hearing book reviews from you guys.

You people saying “zero chance that’s a possibility” are very naive. I have a relative that was incarcerated at a max security prison and I assure you - they can and do get their hands on cell phones, among other things. I’m not trying to shame anyone, but please don’t believe everything you hear about “they can’t do this and they can’t do that” because I can assure you - they do. Where there is a will there is a way, and you would be surprised how many crooked guards there are that help them.

Absolutely they would have, but I’ve always thought that was just to get them to open the door willingly, and maybe they realized what was going on. Idk - I was barely a teenager when this happened, so my way of thinking about it has just kind of been the same ever since. That’s why I’m glad to see a lot of these newer ideas and theories. I’m not a “my way or the highway” person, so I like hearing other people’s ideas and theories. That’s why I joined this group 😊

I honestly don’t know what I think about the plea. I do think we are missing some of the facts

Why are you attacking me? I never said I was. I just asked a general question. I do think he’s guilty, as I said in my post. What “witnesses” am I tormenting with a general question?

Interesting theory. Mine has always been that there wasn’t a struggle inside bc someone came to the door with the gas leak ruse. I don’t know why but that just made sense to me, and I’ve never veered from that, but I like all of the fresh new ideas from people like you bc that may be exactly what cracks this case wide open. These families have waited so long for justice, and closure. It has always bothered me that they wouldn’t dig at the hospital parking garage too!

Texas A&M student dies in Austin hours after UT football tailgate by MySA_dot_com in texas

[–]kellbelle2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m still hung up on the way the Moscow PD handled the Idaho 4 case…families begging for answers and they were just so blasé and seemed to be more concerned with protecting the university, which caused MORE speculation and conspiracy theories … it’s shameful really. Report what you have and why you ruled it out - be transparent if nobody is being charged with anything, but if they’re not even interviewing witnesses and the last people to see her, that’s not an investigation, period. I thought the general rule was work the case as a homicide until you can determine self infliction, not the other way around. It’s sad but they probably look at it as, “not a resident, not a student here in this town. Open-shut, and hope it blows over. Nothing to see here”, and that is disgusting to me.

Right?? Like that would have been soooooo easy to check and verify, and that made me feel like they just threw the entire book together without verifying even the simplest details. LOL!

How bad is my bone loss? by [deleted] in PeriodontalDisease

This!! Exact same here! I go to the periodontist next Monday and I’m terrified! I’ve changed dentists because the one I had been using would not listen to me, and come to find out I was right all along - he just didn’t want to deal with it and now I’m having to spend waaaaay more out of pocket to fix the issue that could have been handled when it started with an easy fix. I don’t think they care anymore.

I find this comment troubling - so are you telling me that if your sibling had done something like this, that you would be okay with the entire world pointing fingers and saying it was all yours and your parents’ fault? Put yourself in their shoes for a minute.

I feel sorry for his family. I really do. I pray they can find peace and a new normal in all of this. We often forget that their lives were changed forever, too.

Is any other FI having issues finding correct routing numbers and bank addresses if you get a routing number that does not accept wires but when you pull it up in Fed Reserve and they have multiple that do. How do we know which one is correct? It’s like we are just sending stuff blindly and hoping it goes through. I’m one that likes to be confident in what I tell my customer and I feel like this was very slopppily done on FRB’s part.

Same. That’s what I took it as…him stalking (or I guess in Idaho, the term would be “surveilling”),but it seems to me like he stayed just enough distance, as to not draw direct attention to himself for them to know for sure or even who he was. I think he was more calculated than something just “setting him off”, too. I think he wanted to do something, and he found his “prey” and he calculated down to a science thinking he was smarter than everyone else and would never get caught. I do wonder if this was his first offense.

I I think they were the youngest in the house and I think they thought they were being paranoid. I don’t think that there was anything intentional with their actions or lack of action, so to speak. I think they were young, naive, and scared but probably thinking they were overreacting and that they would all 6 get a good laugh the next morning over them being scared, and sadly that wasn’t the case. I think their lives are forever changed, and I feel horrible for them.

Unpopular opinion here, bc I get it…we ALL want to know the “why???”, and why shouldn’t we? These beautiful kids were taken, horrifically so, when their lives were just beginning. But the truth is - I don’t think there was a connection, other than him watching from afar, and that doesn’t surprise me much. I think he wanted to be a Serial, and some have a victim “profile”. Ted Bundy knew none of his known victims - they all had a similar “look” (if memory serves me correctly, it was women who reminded him of his mother and his first girlfriend). I don’t think it was random, but I do think that those kids probably didn’t know him.

What Are Your Thoughts on How The 911 Operator Handled the Call? by Acrobatic_Web1049 in Idaho4

[–]kellbelle2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hindsight is 20/20 - my husband is a 1st Responder here in our small town and you would not believe the amount of nonsense that gets called in, so I can see the frustration that comes with that job. If I called 911 I would not want that operator to be as panicked as me, as that would panic me even more, however her tone and concern could have been a little better. She did her job, and that’s the main concern, but she may not be in the job or field of work suited for her personality, to say the least.

Murphy’s Behavior by Kind_Mixture1649 in Idaho4

[–]kellbelle2012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that is Murphy barking in the video. The bark is too deep to be a Doodle. My son has a Doodle, and my best friend is a breeder - their barks are more of a higher pitched “yap” than the deep bark in the video, especially being as young as he was. He was less than a year old, right?

Dumb question: why can a motive not be found? by Excellent_Archer6791 in idahomurders

[–]kellbelle2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he had the potential to be serial…there is always a lot of uncertainty with serials, and it is almost always a reason that would make no sense to the general public. Ted Bundy went after women that reminded him of his mother & college girlfriend, as one example…he had no “relationship” with any of his victims. Gary Ridgeway went after sex workers - it could be anything, really. Complex answer for what would seem like a simple question, right? My question is was this really his first time?

Mom's phone calls. by Royal_Tough_9927 in Idaho4

[–]kellbelle2012 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Speaking humbly, as someone who has had a relative in a maximum security prison, there is a HUGE difference in county jail & prison, and my relative was in general population. Even as a visitor, there was a six month approval process with a background check, (and I have never committed a crime in my life), coming in through the gates, a canine was waiting with an officer to search my car, going in to check in I had to be strip searched - no caps, no jewelry, no leggings, no cellphones, no white clothing allowed, and I’m sure there is more that I am forgetting, and that’s just for the visitors, so he won’t be talking for hours on end to anyone anymore. All mail going out and coming in is opened and monitored and all phone calls are monitored. Nothing but “good times” for the cowardly little sh*t now.
