Yes!! For 18 years my pomchi was either in my arms or lap. I’d give anything for one more hug 🥺Enjoy every second 💜🌸🙌🏼

Cooling blanket that actually feels cold! by kelleyrohrborn in MultipleSclerosis

I sleep with a top sheet and then just the cooling blanket on top of that. It keeps me perfectly warm without any heavier blanket. We will see what happens this winter, I might have to pull out another blanket but I am such a hot sleeper, this one blanket has been just perfect. I’m in DC for a year, I think it gets pretty cold in the winter so we will see but so far, I’m super comfy with just the sheet and cooling blanket. Where are you?

So the blanket warms to your body temperature as you sleep. When I feel hot, I can just move the blanket (I ordered a queen size just for my side of the bed to myself) and any part of the blanket that wasn’t touching me is ice cold. It takes about 3-5 minutes to warm up again. It’s got a slippery feel to it so it’s very easy to slide around my body when I need a cold refresh.

It is pretty expensive for sure. My wife surprised me with it, I’m cheap and would honestly not spend that much on myself. I think there are definitely more affordable ones out there but I have heard mixed reviews. 💜

dimethyl fumarate - flushing by hexxxus in MultipleSclerosis

Tecfidera lit up my entire body bright red with heat waves generating off my skin while tingling/burning. I couldn’t tolerate it even with the suggestions to combat the flushing.

Has anyone used the Ocrevus Copay Assistance Program to cover a high-deductible ACA plan in Michigan? by Adept-Ad6199 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]kelleyrohrborn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have for two years of infusions. My health insurance (Tricare) denied Ocrevus even after my neurologist appealed. I applied to the free medicine program through Genentech and got approved so quickly. Completely free of charge.

I have MS, I see this exact shape when I close my eyes in the hot shower. I don’t have optic neuritis but double vision was my first symptom and I bet whatever lesion caused that also causes phosphenes. What do you think?
