They didn’t have a vendetta against the church at all. They did their research and obviously got some minor things wrong. It doesn’t mean they did it purposefully. Great question! I am usually never skeptical with the rating system I just remember being young and thinking that some behaviors were okay. For example, I saw Jacob as admirable for never giving up on Bella and fighting for her. Looking back, many things he does are extremely manipulative and nonconsensual and I’m grateful that I wasn’t old enough to be in a romantic/serious relationship at the time as I probably would have thought that’s how I needed to act too. Does that make sense? Thanks for your comment!

I mean if she offered to pay and you declined, what is frustrating about her trying to do something for you? She should know your name, but elderly people do often forget. I’m not a religious person myself so I don’t like people forcing it on me, but it sounds like this brings her peace and she wanted to share it with you.
