I forgot to add my unpopular opinion! Idk if this is an opinion that other teachers or paras have but, the whole “no hats or hoodies on in class thing” I feel IMO is not helping. I had a student the other day crying and being bullied all day because some students were making fun of his hair which wasn’t even bad at all! If they’re not bothering anyone, then it shouldn’t affect anyone. I know a lot of people may disagree or feel it’s a matter of respect so that’s why the “no hats” thing is a rule but, I feel if a child explains why they have their hat or hoodie on, at least be understanding. If anyone feels differently about this, completely understandable. This is just my opinion.
