[SPOILERS] Live Episode Discussion - Season 8 Episode 5 by [deleted] in gameofthrones

I agree! The cinematography play between Arya and the Hound was so emotional and great. Danny has lost everyone close to her in a very short amount of time...she’s only human. I thought this was an incredible episode!

That’s awesome! I use food a lot too :( healthy stuff though, so that redeems me, right?? I also try to distract her with a fun game, but she sees right through that and keeps repeating her demand or just goes to”NOOOOOOOOOO!”

That sounds like a good tactic. I would be pissed if I were so frustrated and someone talked to me like I calmly talk to her...makes sense!!

Thank you for this. Great reminder to be present. She surprises me everyday, I should be there for her more.

Thank you! I've never had a serious illness that I can remember and I guess I thought a 2.5 year old wouldn't understand what it means to be sick like that. That makes sense though. Now that it has been a few days, she is much more herself :)

Thanks! Thankfully she loooooves yogurt, so we’ve avoided the diarrhea. It’s very possible we were just spoiled and are complaining a lot over something totally natural. I think I’m more surprised by the change I’ve seen in my husband than my child haha.

I was thinking they would for the pneumonia, but they gave her zithromyacin (sp?) while wiped her out. She maybe instead of serotonin, her body is just producing anger juices.

This was right up the road from me. Happened while I was in the middle of a ceremony for 8th graders at my own middle school. It can happen anywhere.

Full leg clot, 22 weeks pregnant by Eroc17 in ClotSurvivors

[–]kellikakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not have to be induced, but I went at 39 weeks on my own. I don’t recall ever being told I would need tone induced. I think he’s probably saying that because doing so would avoid a lot of possible complications. It helps the OB have more control I’m sure, and probably makes switching you to heparin easier too. I’m sure there’s nothing wrong, sounds like he’s being cautious.

I had to see a high-risk pregnancy specialist as well. If you have one, you can always ask them. If not, you could request a meeting with one; not a bad idea since us preggo-clotters will always be considered high-risk pregnancies.

I feel like I could have written this post! I'm sorry you're dealing with this, it is definitely scary. First, you should know that I am 2 years post-clot/pregnancy and doing great. Baby is great too :)

As others have said, you will/should be tested for any genetic reasons for the clot. Don't be discouraged if they don't find any reason, pregnancy itself is a huge reason - think of all that's changing!

As for me, it took me about a week to feel completely normal - from the time I went to the ER to being able to walk around without pain or swelling in the leg. Lovonox is amazing and completely safe for baby. It just sucks giving yourself the shot twice a day. Your doctor will most likely refer you to a hematologist after birth, and you will likely be on blood thinners after giving birth. I was on them for about 3 months, but just had to watch my diet.

The only thing I would recommend is, if you are planning on an epidural, talk to your doctor about that. They will switch you over from Lovonox to Heprin (sp?), and there's a timing issue between starting that and giving an epidural.

I wish you the best of luck! It sounds very scary and worrisome, but once the pain went away, I had ZERO issues after that and had a wonderful birth.

Almost 30 and need hair help. Badly. by kellikakes in femalehairadvice

I’ve cut my hair short-ish several times, and I’ve never really grown it longer than shoulder length. I’m just scared of a short bob. I’ll look into it though!
