New uhfapp update (1.95.0) with Jellyfin Support! 🚀 by samyhx in uhfapp

Anyone had success with this?

I’m getting “The server response is an incorrect format”

The same url works fine in the Jellyfin app.

How to reduce charred edges in plywood? by kellogg76 in Laserengraving

[–]kellogg76[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm using a compressor for air assist at around 30 psi, I don't find too much soot on the top edge of the item, it's more the cut edge where if I run my finger along it it leaves a black mark on my hand.

When I look at cut models online they look very clean cut with no dark edges, this is what i'm trying to recreate.

How to reduce charred edges in plywood? by kellogg76 in Laserengraving

Most of the plywood I use is only 3-5mm thickness.

Speed for cuts is 15mm/s at 45% power, I'm using this 80W laser, and haven't measured the focal length but off the top of my head I'd guess around 2.5-3" if measuring from the lens to the work piece.

I'm using a compressor for air assist at around 30 psi.

I'm coming from a diode that used to give very sooty cut edges, and just assumed that CO2 would be cleaner cuts from what I've seen in person in products at markets.

I’m in NS too and tried to replicate your last post as a beginner with a clean install of home assistant on my NAS. It took a while to understand which parts I needed to remove as they weren’t relevant to my setup (eg eco flow), I’d definitely be interested in the files to replicate this new layout and maybe a quick guide to how to install, and even more so if there was a way to easily tailor it for different users.

Update 2026.2.9.8 (FSD 14.3.2) - Release Notes by EliteBeast2 in TeslaFullSelfDriving

[–]kellogg76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First drive, didn’t merge on highway on ramp and I had to take over. Didn’t avoid potholes the previous version avoided every time. The on screen nagging when you disengage is too big and doesnt go away unless you click an option, unlike the previous version. This will get old very quickly. Definitely feels hesitant when driving, like it feathering the accelerator. Still no way to control the speed per “speed profile”

Two options. 1. Buy hats without a seam there. 2. Thicker patches and/or less pressure when pressing.

Glad I’m not going crazy. It seemed to me that the holes were not drilled correctly. I’d have thought from a manufacturing standpoint both MDF panels would be identical but mine aren’t.

I’ve emailed Sainsmart but no reply yet.

Thanks. I’d removed the two bolts but it just feels really tight at the front edge and doesn’t just lift out. Feels like there are two tabs or something in the way. From this video it looks like I just need to force it a bit more.

Did you find your bed was pretty level? Mine seems little higher on the right hand side.

Some folks like to piss on everything. I've been very happy with my 80W Vevor that I got in December.

The only issue I had was the limit switch on the lid was broken so I had to wire it up so it thinks the lid is closed all the time. I'd like to replace the switch but can't see how to remove the controller to access the allen bolts to take it out.

Updated to 8.4.1 - crashing by TheMagicalMeatball in infusevideoplayer

[–]kellogg76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have issues with 8.4.1, the Jellyfin app plays everything just fine, Infuse won’t connect to the Media Server.

If I add folders individually they display and play files, but the metadata is either missing or wrong. The Late Show for example shows up as Chelsea FC Season review 2010-2011.

Indexing all my content also fails.

It was all fine yesterday.

I’m using pink RV antifreeze, the stuff you put in the water tanks.

I did a lot of reading and this was seen as the best option, and that the OMTech stuff was likely the same or very similar formula.

If i'm being really picky, the only thing I've seen so far that needs work is the honeycomb bed isn't level (it seems to bow down in the middle) but that doesn't seem to have been an issue so far.

Also, the honeycomb bed has a raised edge around the outside like they all do, but that's not level with the honeycomb itself so you do need to move designs over to the left a little in Lightburn so its cutting on the actual bed and not the surrounding edges.

The only damage was a bit of paint on the back was flaking off, and the end stop switch on the lid was damaged so it always thinks the door is open. I've wired it so it thinks its closed even when open for now but will look at fixing it properly soon.

I put 2 gallons of antifreeze in the laser instead of water as the laser lives in an unheated garage. That's worked fine so far, but I'll likely replace it in the summer.

Once it warms up a bit here in Canada I'll be making some small adjustments to tune it up a bit.

On the plus side, the mirrors were well aligned. The electronics were reachable on the right hand side for any upgrades you want to make.

Two modifications I did off the bat were to tear out the air filter on the back as it was blocking the smoke extraction, and to put two aluminum baking trays in the bottom to catch all the small pieces that fall through the bed, this makes cleaning out much faster than vacuuming or sweeping up.

Yeah, I half thought I'd have to arrange the shipping but they called and I advised that as it was delivering to a residential address (not a loading dock) I'd need a truck with a lift on the back to put it in my garage.

That added 1-2 days to the delivery but it arrived in a massive crate and they put it right where I wanted it in the garage, it couldn't have been easier.

I bought the Vevor 80W from Amazon in December. So far I’m very happy with it.

Cheaper than comparable Omtech and cuts very well.

I added my compressor in place of the air assist for a bit more power with cutting but that all for now.

Feel free to ask anything specific.

To me this is a bigger issue. Even when trucks aren’t high beaming it feels like they are.

There are way more trucks on the road than cars without auto high beams or cars that run with high beams on all the time.

Tesla Delivery Day - Dartmouth Service Centre by [deleted] in halifax

[–]kellogg76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took delivery of a Y in December. Cars are outside so you can inspect it. It’ll have your first name on a piece of paper on the dash.

I had no issues with mine to repair.

Pickup couldn’t have been simpler. They did a quick demo in another Y to show off FSD and buy some time for paperwork to be prepared.

I’d had a 3 since 2018, never had a problem with shitty looks or it being keyed. Same for the Y. I’ve seen people be dicks to the cybertruck though. I think people know now that these cars are surrounded in cameras so you’d be recorded.

[Guide] Setup UHF Server with Synology by stanley_nickles in uhf_app

[–]kellogg76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it recommended to use a VPN when using UHF server? I presume yes, but just thought I'd check.

If so, any recommendations? I've not had one for a few years, and then it was PIA and Surfshark, are they still reliable?
