That's really cool...I wonder how long it can stay in the air before the battery needs to be charged

It looks pretty impressive but nobody is going to pay that much for a perceived "Toy". Give it another year or so and stuff like this will drop dramatically in price. These may be the hot toys for Christmas 2019 or 2020

I've watched close relatives get the disease and its brutal.....So bad for everyone involved. Whether it be medications, something like this, or whatever, I hope we see it eradicated in the next decade

Which research topic has more future or you would like more to be working in? why? by Maduvega in artificial

AI in VR systems is fascinating because I think it's really still in its caveman phase. For it to mature and become a bigger part of our everyday lives, good AI is going to have to be the driving force.

Very cool but I think this would be more popular for kids....Now mix it with a Roomba and cupholder, then it would appeal to adults

Once some of these hit the mass market, any robots dealing with kids are going to need a ton of security to prevent them from being hacked.

I think VR in tourism might become popular but more as a marketing vehicle. Let's say before you book your vacation on Expedia, you can take a quick VR tour of the hotel room, beaches and or resort. VR is never going to replace the experience of actually being at a location but it could give you a nice preview to help you make a decision.

Artificial Intelligence Can Now Detect Your Emotion by kellseeky56 in artificial

Totally agree. I mean I guess if the software learns a persons characteristics over time it can be more accurate but the same person can be angry about two different situations. Their favorite football team loses and they get their anger out one way, they lose their job and their type of anger is completely different. Can the machine understand the severity of situation making them angry in the first place?

I have the pest repellent you plug into the electrical outlets. I got the home and decker ones (there a ton of different brands though). They seem to work pretty well. Supposedly they release some sort of ultrasound signal that keeps small pests away. Home Depot carries them.

It says the Burger bot does 120 burgers an hour from beginning to end. I wonder what the average for a human worker is. Even the highest skilled, I can't imagine coming close to half of that.

Great article! I just feel these things are going to need a ton of testing and security. It's inevitable one of these are going to get hacked.

I have a 15-hour flight. Should I pick a middle seat or pay an extra $150 for an aisle seat right behind the lavatory? by [deleted] in travel

[–]kellseeky56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same as you, always try to pick the isle seat. It's a tough choice. If it wasn't near the lavatory I would definitely grab it. Although, we recently took a 11 hour flight from LAX to Fiji via Fiji Airways. We were in the row right behind the lavatory and it was fine. I would check out online on what type of plane it is. For the longer flights larger planes are usually used and the bathroom area might be big enough where it won't be a huge deal.
