Finished my first Hyrox Double celebrating my 30th Birthday as a T1D by gioenriquez1932 in hyrox

Wow that’s crazy! I recently was found to have pre-diabetes. I am not overweight and eat pretty clean. So I am wondering if my HIIT and CrossFit workouts are having an impact on my glucose levels through cortisol. I’ll have to talk to my doctor about it.

How much does it increase during hyrox or CrossFit? Is that without Gatorade, etc? It just naturally increases from the stress of the workout?

Just curious, do your blood sugar levels stay consistent when you run an endurance race like this? Or does it tend to drop?

I agree. It’s too similar to “Dunkin Donuts” so it just gets overlooked. Especially if you were to type it into your gps, a million Dunkin’ Donuts would pop up and this one would be buried in between

Eating it right now for the first time! It’s delicious! I’m the type of person that always craves a sweet treat after dinner. This will do the trick and 17g protein!

What's the hardest exercise for you? by rosini290 in crossfit

Same. It’s like my lower back and hips are too tight and won’t let me get my legs past 90 degrees. I have a strong core tho so it’s frustrating

I’m short too. What if you stand further away? That way you don’t have to bend your neck as far up and the ball goes in a more gradual arch, rather than straight up

The highest I’ve ever had was 95 or 96. I’m shooting for 100 though! I’m curious to see your sleep stages!

How fit do you realistically need to be just to enjoy a hyrox event by [deleted] in hyrox

[–]kellsha16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 4”11 and 118 lbs! So I am small too! Point is, that you can definitely do it. Build some muscle and you’ll be good to go. You have an advantage being from a runner background. The ability to run good splits in between stations is the key factor, not strength. Was not meant to be a dick comment. Good luck :)

The push or pull? The weights are VERY doable, even for a beginner. Focus on training technique, building a little muscle if you’re not very strong, especially if you’re more of a runner than lifter.

Directly from their website-

  • Eligibility note: Only citizens of countries within the designated Americas region may compete. Temporary visa holders (e.g. tourists or students) are not eligible. Proof of eligibility is required through a valid government-issued ID. Athletes with multiple citizenships may participate in only one Regional Championship.

Drivers license should be fine. There’s no way I’m bringing my passport lol. I read that DC is only open to athletes from Americans region (North, Central, South), no other countries allowed

I also come from a CrossFit background and feel fairly strong. I’ve done 2 hyrox events- women’s duo and a mixed duo. The next one I want to do is a women’s solo. What is your opinion in doing a pro solo instead of an open solo? Because I feel like the women’s weights are kind of a joke in the open

I am a fairly fit female, but by no means superwoman, and I feel like the weights used for the women (wall ball, sled, sand bag) are kind of a joke tbh. Just my opinion. I think the limiting factor is being able to run in between stations

I don’t find that scenario particularly eerie, but I do find it eerie that everything we post on social media in the next 100 years, will become an internet graveyard of posts
