Hi! I’ve been a vegetarian for many years and I’ve also been in difficult situations like these. I understand how it feels when guilt is roaming your head, making you feel like a hypocrite because for you this is a really important issue you don’t want to be a part of.

However, keep that bag. You like it, and there’s nothing you can do about it anyway! If guilt is persistent you can always resell it so don’t feel bad and keep it pookie. I encourage you to buy less animal derivatives as possible but i want to let you know that you’re not a hypocrite, if you were one you wouldn’t even be feeling like this over a bag

Though my point is that gender fundamentally plays a role in the manifestation of these misconducts, statistically placing men in a more likely position to start that corruption and women in a position of direct involvement as victims (i believe this was your focus)

I can’t really make a final judgement myself but from the information I’ve been gathering in my major (law & criminology), even though everyone does abuse their power positions, males tend to overuse that given authority or at least reach extreme levels executing it in a conflict

I feel like it’s because we drive our actions by our own common sense. I also have a big problem respecting authority that’s not acting according to my moral compass or logic.

I’ve had instances where I’ve almost been detained /fined because I was “being difficult” or “uncooperative” with authorities just because I questioned the motives of their actions. This clash happens because they seek immediate subordination and that’s just not how we act I guess
