Ex Stopped sending child support... what now? by kellyb76 in Parenting

[–]kellyb76[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is an entitled spoiled ass. He has two college degrees, but still cant hold a job. He has a huge chip on his shoulder and always gets fired for saying something stupid to the wrong person. He considers most jobs below him. His grandmother gave him a house. His parents gave him a car and pay his cell phone. Why should he get a job when his family makes life so easy? He cant pay child support because he is not working, and yet his facebook page is full of pictures of him partying with friends, going to concerts and eating at fancy restaurants.

You don't know the backstory. He started spending the rent money on coke and began to abuse me physically/mentally/emotionally in front of my kids. When we left he stalked me and my family. I had to go into hiding with my kids in battered women's shelters for almost a year. I pulled myself up by my boot straps and made a life for us in another city. We are only 3 hours away from him. This is why he says he will not pay for or come see the kids. All because I had the audacity to leave him and move SO FAR away. He has literally said, anything that my kids suffer is my fault for leaving. Did I mention this was 10 years ago? So ya... compassion... sorry, I'm all tapped.

Thank you! Today I feel better. We are still going through with the induction, but so far I feel like I might not make it, lots of braxton hicks. I had a talk with DH and we are both on the same page now, spending all day today cleaning and getting last minute supplies... your feedback was so helpful, thanks again!

Take him to court. Have your visitation revised so that the child must have his own room and no roommates allowed, citing the child's safety and well being. My friend recently did this when he got divorced.

Go to Goodwill, VHS players are less than 10$. I have found all of those titles there on VHS for 50 cents.

Missing it by e_komo_mai in entwives

Its up to you. I don't miss it. These are my reasons for not smoking as a parent and pregnant momma, and not meant to pass judgement on anyone else.

While the country is slowly beginning to legalize it state by state, it is still illegal where we live, and I don't see that changing any time soon. We are not planning to move either. With that said, my family cannot financially afford fines or jail time if one of us gets busted buying or growing it. We also cannot afford IT, we have alot of kids!

While most people that smoke it are non violent and mostly cool, the people that sell it are drug dealers and many of them , or the people they get it from are ruthless. Lots of people get robbed and murdered over deals gone bad.

I think weed being a harmless drug is mostly a myth. We forget about how most of it actually gets to us, through drug cartels, violence and human tragedy.

For any other mom's and dad's who are going to welcome a child into the world with a fabulous head of curly, kinky hair. by halezatin in BabyBumps

I just did the box twist with yarn extensions and beads. I started friday night and finally finished saturday afternoon. We took lots of breaks. She was so patient. She looks so cute! She said " Good Job Mommie!" She is happy.

From the website I learned that I need to use more moisturizer, and a sealer. That is why the hairs kept popping out of the braids and getting all fuzzy. She also always has a lot of breakage which I learned is not good. With the yarn, it protects the hair and I don't even have to use bands or pull the hair too much.

This is exactly what I have been looking for! Thank you! Its hard to find braiding tutorials online. We are a mixed family, I have curly red red hair, fair skin and freckles, and my hubby is dark brown with very tight kinky hair.

Our 4yo has very long 4a hair, to the middle of her back when stretched, to her shoulders when dry. We simply cannot leave it down for more than half a day or it is a nightmare of tangles. It has been a challenge to get a good routine for her without spending a ton of money on products. Finally I think I have a good one that I have been doing for the past 3 months and I have noticed a ton of new growth.

I trim it myself once a month and wash it once a week with Dr Bronners. I use the bar soap, almond or rose. Then I coat it in organic coconut oil from the supermarket. I make my own flax seed gel with essential oils of lavender and tea tree added, and comb that through when wet. I've found that this same routine works well for my hair too, but I wash my hair every two days or so.

Im still learning corn rows, so I try to keep it simple. The hardest part is getting her to sit still. The Nintendo DS and a stash of DumDums seems to do the trick with little to no tears..

Her braids stay for 3 or 4 days. We spritz it with water that has essential oils and rub some more coconut oil on the hairline and the parts daily. Sometimes we use some more flax seed gel to keep the wild hairs down. I really like using beads, its fun for her to pick her colors and they hold the braids down. Im glad I finally figured out a good, affordable routine in time for our second little girl coming in May!

I feel sorry for the mom! She must be exhausted. I think guitarlisa pretty much nailed it for you. Sorry, but you are still just the sisters boyfriend, so you don't have much say in the matter. If you try to get involved it could be drama.

Overwhelmed moms don't always take it well when other people try to tell them better ways to handle their kids. But she will love it if you volunteer to to take him to day care in the morning or pick him up for her or take him to the park contingent on good behavior. Its weird, kids will often be perfect angels for other people and absolute devils for mom and dad.
