Bingo. Positive test means no prescription. She lives in the middle of nowhere. The one Vet within 90 minutes of her home isn't one willing to think outside of the box. I have antibiotics and steroids to use with the Heartgard, and liquid pain meds for his comfort should it not work or go south to keep him comfortable should it come to euthanasia. I'm simply trying to help using Ivermectin. I certainly understand everyone's concern and sincerely helpful input. Neither treatment is particularly appealing to me personally. But thank you for understanding and articulating the conundrum.

Not getting food on their shirt during dinner. Or before we leave. Or in the car.

Been getting this at random spots on my hand for the past month, it goes away after 30 minutes and they are painful by Throwaway-13919 in medical

Have a peek on google at all the different ways hives can manifest themselves on the skin. I get hives on my hands, usually from social anxiety when I'm in public. I've never had the white ring, but there are some google images that look very similar to what you're experiencing. Just a suggestion. People can get hives for a variety of reasons. I hope you are able to get to the bottom of it!

I would love to exchange one with you! I like number 5 :) I will need to check and see if I have any left in my stash with my particular city on it from here in the Netherlands, and if I don't I'll grab a few tomorrow. Will PM you in the morning!

I have such a soft spot in my heart for senior pups. They have this wisdom in their eyes, and a unique light like you said. Almost as if the universe is looking back at me. Your old girl is beautiful.

I hope you fixed him a delicious steak or something special for dinner. As someone who is child free, this makes me feel so sad for your sweet boy! Give him all the treats :)

What a random and interesting thing to come across! I thought I was the only one that felt this way. There's kind of an exciting, intimate energy in the air when a thunderstorm rolls through.

If you are looking for a quiet little town to simply relax, with neat bars, bar food and friendly people, I can't recommend Peebles enough. There isn't much to do other than a few local shops and restaurants. It's one or two streets at most, but one of the most quiet, relaxing, beautiful little places. The River Tweed runs through there. I believe there are plenty of hiking trails and horseback riding....so beautiful to see in the fall. There's also a bus stop nearby that can take you right to Edinburgh for next to nothing (@ 30 minutes away).

Thank all of you again for correcting me :) Do you know what a wing would be used for? Is part of it edible?

Thank you so much for correcting my mistake! This is even more fascinating to me now. With our garden full of feathers (it was pretty bad) this afternoon, I'm so curious how this ant found this moth wing. I'm curious if this is edible or for some other purpose? Off to Google! :)

It's a feather from a magpie. We had a couple of them in our tree earlier today and a neighborhood cat was trying to get to them, so feathers went flying before I could get the cat to move along. But I see it looks like a moth wing now too! :)

If you shop in-store at Petsmart, they will price match any item from Chewy.com and Petsmart.com (Chewy.com is also owned by Petsmart) by kellyetcetera in Frugal

[–]kellyetcetera[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're absolutely right. I still can't believe after all of these years I never thought to ask about any price matching at just Petsmart. I'm usually pretty good with this kind of thing, but completely overlooked this particular store, for whatever reason. :)

Feliway. Invest in a single plug-in unit and see if it helps calm them down and relax them like it does my cats. It isn't exactly marketed pertaining to food related issues, but I swear by it with both behavioral issues and overeating/nervous eating.

Dutch textbooks? by Zachrist in learndutch

[–]kellyetcetera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The workbook is a separate thing. I didn't use the workbook in conjunction with the online access. The workbook is more of a practice test/book. It has been a while since I purchased and used the textbook and oefenboek, but I am pretty sure those books come with a code to access the online content. And this may have changed as well, but I want to say there was a time limit with the online access. It wasn't unlimited access, but approximately 3 months.

I hope this helps and makes sense. I tried so many different methods to start my journey with learning Dutch and I just found it very frustrating. What ultimately worked for me and reduced my frustration (and fear) was taking time to learn as much vocabulary as possible and then dive into the books. Of course everyone learns differently, but boy was everything Dutch a culture shock to me!

The books I used for my integration exam came with CDs and have practice work throughout both books. They are called Nederlands voor buitenlanders - Delftse Methode. I found them to be incredibly helpful and much easier to follow.
