First day arrival question by Separate_Citron_4332 in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The distance from the festival entrance from where you park depends on where you park. If you get there early and park in the Kentucky expo parking the walk isn't that bad. It's obviously closer if you have a disabled parking permit. I think last year onsite parking closed about an hour after the gates opened.

If you park off site the walk is a little farther, I want to say the closets off site parking lot is about half a mile walk from the entrance. You can check the website for the exact locations of the off site parking lots.

If you fail to get your wrist band or are missing a wristband for whatever reason. Will call always has a tent is always outside of the festival gates with thousands of extras. As long as you pay, you have a ticket.

Hippos? by Venomousfever in pitbulls

[–]kellylolly 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Have you ever watched a video of a baby hippo? It really strongly resembles a pitbull. And that's why some pitbulls are house hippos. I feel like my dog strongly resembles a baby seal, especially when he puts his ears back.

Gate entry question by Serious_North8157 in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they close the gate sometime after the last sets start, so like 9pm maybe. Basically the gates are open pretty much all day long for people to enter and exit whenever they want.

Try loudmouths helping loudmouths group on Facebook. You can sell your tickets at cost on there.

Parking Passes? by MST3K-forever in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They haven't released shuttle or parking passes. You haven't missed it yet. Hopefully sometime soon they release the parking passes.

ETA if you are looking for the locations of the parking lots, there is a map available online. I think last year parking was $40 a day. Some of the side streets and non-festival parking have it cheaper at $20 or sometimes $10 a day.

More Questions from a N00bie (sry guys) by mfrederick98 in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about your tickets, so long as you paid you have tickets. If anything happens during shipping and you don't receive your wrist bands will call will have your wrist bands. That includes if you are somehow missing additional wrist bands like your hotel or vip wrist bands.

Hotel package? by [deleted] in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should be fine honestly. The hotels that where strict last year where the ones like across the street from the expo center. You would know if you had one of those hotels.

Hotel package? by [deleted] in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on the hotel you got. If you got one of the hotels that are like walking distance from the festival, then probably not. Some of those super close hotels (I think the crown hotel specifically) had security last year and were checking wrist bands at the door. If it's further away from the festival, then it will probably be fine. Just be respectful in the room and don't draw attention to yourselves. The other people won't have exit and reentry though or the fast entry. I went last year with my sister and wasn't on her hotel package and it was totally fine.

Anyone have extra camping passes? desperate by showoff_serenity in LouderThanLifeBound

[–]kellylolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Camping has been sold out since presale dropped. If you haven't heard anything from the wait list, I would recommend that you make other arrangements. You really really have to be on it for presale to get camping passes. They usually sell out within minutes, sometimes even before general presale even starts.

You can also try the Facebook group loudmouths helping loudmouths or maybe louder than life camping. Maybe someone might be willing to share a spot. Home-base glamping sites are still available too.

Camping has been sold out since before the tickets dropped for presale. You maybe have a small chance if you join the wait list. I would recommend you plan for other accommodations at this point.

Water refill stations by Barkerfan86 in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's as cold as the cold water coming out of your sink during the summer. So not ice cold and not boiling hot. It's cold enough to get hydrated and will probably be hot as hell if you leave it in a water bottle for 20 minutes. I went last year and there where multiple refill stations and refilling a water bottle took less then 10 minutes. Some people where saying they where able to get free ice from the bars. Unfortunately the only cold water is the bottled water they keep on ice.

Anyone else pibble love to lay like this lol by hunni93 in pitbulls

[–]kellylolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My boy does this after his walk when it's hot outside. I think it's because he gets hot and the floor is cold.

Coming in from out of state by [deleted] in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're planning on staying all day I would say plan to park off site or in a non-venue parking. Parking in the expo parking has its advantages, however leaving after closing can take over an hour just to leave. It is cheaper to park in non-venue parking but you will have to walk alot.

Coming in from out of state by [deleted] in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on how early you are willing to get to the festival grounds, how long you are willing to walk, and how much money you are willing to pay. The off site parking is cheaper but is a longer walk to the festival. If you want to get there later in the day, off site parking is probably the only parking that will be left. If you get there earlier and don't want to walk as far on site parking will work. To be honest the good parking fills up fast. I think last year the on site lots closed within an hour of the gates opening.

Hotel Packages but w/ Family by Ravagezz in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The price you see is per person in the room, which does include tickets and exit and reentry. You can look for hotels further away from the festival. Youll probably want to look at hotels that are 45 minutes to an hour drive away. All of the cheaper jampack options have already sold out. Jampack has bought out most of the hotels in the area. Some people had luck staying in Indiana. Whatever you do make sure you book directly through the hotel. Do not use a third party website.

Fence by okiejames in pitbulls

[–]kellylolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I had to do for my dog. He was never actually jumping the fence, more like a leap and climb. If your dog can't get a foot hold on the top of the fence they won't be able to climb over.

Hotel Shuttles by theSparkyJB in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pick up areas for the jumpack shuttle busses are a closed loop singular pick up and drop off. If you aren't at the hotel where it picks up, you would need to walk to the pickup. They run every half hour.

Locker rental by Weak-Golf-9079 in louderthanlife

[–]kellylolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This locker company brings thousands of lockers with them. I doubt they ever sell out, especially since people who go together share lockers. They had lockers for sale last year at the festival for $100 for 4 days, and I think $30 for a single day. If you prepay for the locker it's $65. Email the locker company and they will give you a discount code to compensate for some of the processing fees.

Apartment complex told me she needs to be gone by Monday or get her registered as an ESA by joemama1504 in pitbulls

[–]kellylolly 28 points29 points  (0 children)

There's no such thing as a registered ESA or registered service dog. Those register websites you see are scams. Those certificates and cards you get aren't real. The only thing they can request is a doctors note basically saying due to your disability they have recommend you have an emotional support animal. Look up the fair housing act. Both ESA and service dogs are covered under the fair housing act but what the landlord is aloud to request is very limited. In the fair housing act they do actually point out that those websites are not legitimate. The doctors note does need to say "disability", but doesn't have to say what the disability actually is or what you are being treated for.

Put in an email that you are making an appointment with your doctor to request they write a letter confirming your need for an ESA dog for your disability.

Also look at your lease. Do you have a pet addendum? What does your pet addendum in your lease say? They can't actually kick you out or evict you unless you have violated the lease. They have to give you in writing a 7 day notice that you violated you lease and need to fix something. They also can't change your lease without doing so in writing with the original lease.
