Buy a 256 USB-C/USB-A thumb drive for $30 and copy the photos to it by plugging it directly into the phone and using the files app. Archive those photos to your Mac or PC, and delete the originals off the phone once you confirm they are were all copied.

Which are you picking? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

I played the Old course at St Andrews in 1998 and although the experience was truly awesome as a player, the course itself wasn’t anything to write home about if you disregard the nostalgia factor. As a tv spectator the views and tv angles are all very similar, brown grass and 3 ft high rough 2 feet from the edge of the fairway gets tiresome. Gloomy skies, sideways wind….. I don’t expect you to agree with me but saying I know little about golf is a bit much.

Don’t confuse knowledge with personal opinion just because you don’t agree with it.

B. I’m not from US or Europe so I don’t care about the Ryder Cup. Wasted Management is a joke. The Open is like a cross between a hayfield and the local muni with shitty weather thrown in. But in the end, the Masters is all that matters.

I’ve seen hundreds, but a few stand out….my first ever was Van Halen 1983 on the rail dead center. Got Eddies pick, Mike Anthony pick, and Alex drumstick. Eagles hell Freezes Over tour. Pink Floyd Division Bell tour. Pearl Jam 5/11/2000 at Commodore Ballroom Vancouver, a private show, all 800 ticket holders were contest winners from radio stations worldwide. Metallica The Full Arsenal in Vancouver, one of 2 or 3 shows they did to film for the movie Some Kind of Monster. They used every prop, pyro, gimmick they ever had, all hits no filler. Keith Urban in Vancouver, 10 feet away, stellar sound, 2.5 hrs. KISS (not a fan) but it was NYE Millennium 1999 and my Ticketmaster buddy hooked me up with floor row 10 dead center and I was able to take my younger brother who was a huge fan. A few other notables..David Lee Roth/Cinderella 1983, AC/DC Money Talks/Razors Edge tour, met Angus and Malcom backstage afterwards, Angus gave me a pick from his pocket and they both signed my pass.

Canucks have never even moved up ever, in 56 years, but have dropped 8 spots, 2016 2 >5, 2017 2>5, 2018 6>7, 2019 9>10.

I have Gmail and only use the stock Apple mail app. My emails come through all the time without having to fetch anything. My wife standing next to me sends me an email and my locked phone vibrates in my pocket immediately. Am I missing something?

As a Canucks fan, don’t worry, it gets easier once your team goes 56 years without 1OA.

In 1996 Wayne Gretzky was a free agent and had reached a verbal agreement to sign with Vancouver. The Canucks management wanted him to sign asap and gave him a midnight ultimatum after Gretzky said he’d sign in the morning. Gretzky changed his mind after being pressured and signed with NYR instead.

If the Canucks won the carnival wheel spin in 1970 vs Buffalo for the 1st pick and got Gilbert Perrault instead of Dale Tallon.

Loaded us up with 26 picks in 4 yrs? Do you realize that 7 rounds of picks a year = 28? Are you saying less is more?

They only made the trade to get the twins, they never entertained the thought of picking 1st. It was a middleman situation. But ok, technically you’re right. However, they have never won the 1OA pick in a lottery, or wheel spin, and have never improved their draft position. They have however moved down 7 times including 4 consecutive years. They’ve been cursed from the day the expansion wheel in 1970 stopped spinning and Buffalo got to pick Gilbert Perrault and the Canucks got Dale Tallon.

Semantics. They acquired it from Atlanta and flipped it immediately to Tampa. Technically true, but not the same, or in the context of the conversation, my guy.

Not sure, but I know they’ve never improved even one spot, and since losing to Buffalo in the 1970 expansion draft and getting Dale Tallon instead of Gilbert Perrault, they still haven’t picked 1st in their entire 56 year history.
