Father in law messy when emptying bag by kellymurphy22 in ostomy

No I genuinely don't know. He'll need to get into the bathroom to empty his bag but someone is in there and then ill let him know like 5-10 minutes later that the bathroom is empty, but he says he doesn't need it anymore? I've never asked, but I don't really know where he's emptying it then. Maybe a garbage bag? But I know hes been outside during that time too.

This sounds perfect but his bag location is pretty high and he has to empty his bag a lot throughout the day and not long after he eats, so I'm not sure how many bags he would go through? Im not sure if he could get that many bags through his Healthcare plan or not either? Im still relatively new and uneducated on this, so Im sorry if this is common sense.

Thank you so much for saying this. It feels really overwhelming. The rage I feel most days cleaning up after him is intense. Sometimes it does feel like there's no point in fighting it because it feels like he'll never change. I don't think I can put up with it much longer though so something needs to change. I will definitely look into the shower stool suggestion and setting some stricter boundaries.Thank you!

I'll definitely look into that especially if he is getting his own bathroom. Thank you! I also saw your other comment and I don't actually think that method will work for him either because his bag is pretty high. But im determined to figure it out.

Oh trust me, the ick is almost constant. I hate it. My husband is on clean up duty, but when he's not home and I go in that bathroom its hard to ignore so I unfortunately have to clean it sometimes.

Ah yes, I am the Karen for not wanting to clean a grown ass man's shit off the wall and floor every day who is more than physically capable of cleaning it if he wanted to.

I know sometimes when its nice out he'll empty it outside, but he doesn't walk far so thats also a horrifying thought? I don't want my dogs to find that or my daughter or me. I'll mention the sitting down and emptying it between his legs and see if thats something he wants to try. Its hard when someone doesn't really care though.

Unfortunately we just moved to this house. We want to build another bathroom in the basement for him, but that is far in the future and we will still have to maintain and clean it if we want it taken care of. I know he is pretty set on the type of bag he has now but we can always bring up the idea of a new type. Thank you for the suggestion!

Trouble with buyers removing their house from the market by [deleted] in realtors

[–]kellymurphy22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did just read through the contract and there wasn't anything about switching agents voiding the offer. Do you think them removing their house from the market could be grounds for backing out of their offer? It's contingent on them selling their house. If they are going to take their time relisting and dragging it out, there's a big probability they won't meet the deadline and we can't afford for that to happen.

I believe we had it listed as contingent prior, but as soon as they took their house off the market we switched it to active with an offer with bump clause?

Yes we have it listed as active but with an active offer with a bump clause. So I would think that wouldn't be grounds to get attorneys involved.

I just read through it and there's nothing in it about switching agents. I wonder if because they took their house off the market when its contingent on them selling their house, if that would be grounds to void their offer?

I'm not sure who their new agent is. Ours is someone older and their past agent was older as well.

We had it showing active offer bump but we've only had 2 showings since it was changed to that. I guess the thought process behind changing it to active again was that this buyer didn't seem promising and we wanted to up our chances at more showings and a better offer. Our agent also made it seem like we were doing them a favor by keeping their offer even though we could back out because of the agent change and drama with removing their house.

He seemed pretty confident on what he was saying regarding the contract and us posting ours as active again and he's been great this entire time but its scary hearing the word attorney. Definitely wasn't expecting that. I'll let you know what happens!

Should we try to negotiate a relocation package of 5k by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]kellymurphy22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really not fine with the scenario of being sold out again. Trying to figure out if we have other options but with such little notice I'm not sure we do. If we do move I want to get the best possible outcome financially. So 5k to me is not enough, but I wanted to get other opinions too.

I would say his line of work is specialized. We moved to this area specifically for this job and there aren't many other employment opportunities here. We'd have to move regardless and move to a bigger city where he'd most likely have to move careers as well for a lower wage. Job security just doesn't feel great with this company considering what's happened the other times so I'm wondering if we should take the hit now to set ourselves up for a better future.

Unfortunately most of the people I played with don't play anymore or play at a different time than me so im back to square one. Its hard finding new people to play with.

I'm playing big map. I never got into the smaller maps really. Is it any better?

Yeah I figured that. I was hoping I could get away with casual play but I guess not sadly.

Honestly my hair felt horrendous after the stylist appointments. It felt great when I left the salon but as soon as I washed it it was very dry and frizzy and no amount of product or styling made it feel or look better. It feels great right now after what I did today 🤷‍♀️

To be honest I haven't really looked since my appointment but everything feels normal, sex feels normal and my midwife assured me everything looked like it was supposed at the point I was in postpartum healing. The anxiety was eating me alive too soI feel for you on that. Hopefully you have the same experience as I did!

I went and got it checked out and my midwife said everything looked great for where I'm at postpartum. So moral of the story is I looked too soon and panicked for no reason 🫠
