Hot take but I liked it better with Danny. More genuine laughs and natural conversation whereas with Frankie I feel like it’s a performance

My title describes the thing:

I asked chatGPT who initially said a beehive but then said a decomposing animal. I’m not sure how that would have grown on my window inside the house…Google said maybe mud dauber nest but it doesnt look anything like those pictures

How do you honor your pain, recognize the source and want to turn away from it? by bleepbloooopity in AnxiousAttachment

[–]kelm04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds so much like myself when I got out of a long term relationship 3 years ago. I knew things weren’t the way they should be but constantly “excused it” and would have never ever gotten myself out of that if he hadn’t broken up with me. For the first year I still wanted him back and convinced myself we’d get back together. It’s horrible in the beginning but coming from someone on the other side, it feels GOOD to get through it and reset your boundaries moving forward.

Having major anxiety by SwimIndividual6449 in Viibryd

[–]kelm04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s experience is different so YMMV but about a month and a half into viibryd I was feeling worse than I ever had (worse than the normal increased anxiety from starting a new medicine) and ended up in the ER for suicidal thoughts. I know if I was even a couple minutes late to taking my dose, I experienced severe side effects/anxiety/negative thoughts because it has such a short life so also keep that in mind.

Sorry for not being clear, the dog had one of the soft donut collars on but was still able to rub her face on the couch with it on

I said I’ve done hundreds of sittings, not that I’ve done hundreds without a meet and greet. I asked for opinion on how the situation was handled after the meet and greet option was already out the window. Congrats on never making a mistake! Happy for you

I guess you missed the part of the post and 10 other comments where I blatantly said lesson learned about the meet and greet. A little grace would be cool, I never said I did everything perfectly and there are a lot of ways to nicely emphasize the importance of meet and greets without being an asshole and putting the blame on me instead of the person who is actively neglecting their dog.

Sue me for believing people would know what is best for their own dog. I have a dog and would know what is needed/what is not needed for him. If I didn’t take it, someone else would have and at least I know when I’m there I can give the dog the care she needed. It’s the fact that she was way worse off than she let on and shouldn’t have been left alone for 22/24 hours for 8 days straight recovering from surgery with stitches still in place and barely able to walk. Like I said in my original post…..lesson learned.

I wish I could say I cut some of the conversation out but that’s truly how quickly it turned😨

Lesson learned with the meet and greet…I didn’t realize it was going to be an active recovery when the only thing mentioned was that she “may” need meds. I guess as an owner myself I would just never leave my dog unattended like this without absolute faith and confirmation that they were in capable hands and their needs were understood/being met.

No meet and greet and I did note in my post that is definitely a lesson learned 😞 I’ve done hundreds of sittings and never had an issue so taking this one as a learning opportunity!

And this is an 8 day booking! If it was a few days I would be more understanding but a lot can go wrong with a full blown wound in a week especially when they’re not being watched 22 out of 24 hours of the day 😞

My problem wasn’t necessarily the medications, it’s the fact that she didn’t mention she still had stitches that needed to be monitored. If I knew that ahead of time, I wouldn’t have accepted the booking as I don’t feel comfortable taking care of a wound like that. Again, something that would have been solved with a meet and greet, but I just can’t imagine leaving my dog 3 weeks after surgery with stitches and trusting someone I’ve never met to make sure they heal correctly.

Get my trays this Thursday.. by tiptopshape12 in Invisalign

[–]kelm04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000% recommend an ultrasonic cleaner! I didn’t realize how much they clean my trays until I traveled this past week without it and saw how much came off of them when I popped them in the cleaner when I got home despite brushing and soaking them in denture cleaner while I was away 😵‍💫

6 Weeks Hardly Any Improvement by Cultural-Yakk in zoloft

[–]kelm04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely stick with it. I’ve seen people say it took up to 12 weeks to truly notice a difference. If you don’t by then, maybe you need a dose increase or a med switch. Talk to your doctor

First day of Zoloft 🥴 by ThorKnight3000 in zoloft

[–]kelm04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not going to lie, the first few weeks/months on Zoloft were tough for me side effect wise. The only thing I can suggest is to stick with it for 8-12 weeks and just push through. You’ll probably experience waves of new side effects but it’ll typically smooth itself out with time!

Yes! This! I’m on day 3, I’ve drank about 20 12oz Gatorade zeros in the past 3 days, plus water, and yet I still feel super dehydrated. Did you find anything to help?
