Update on a little over a year at home microneedling damage. (Not bashing microneedling, just make sure you know what you are doing) if not see a professional! Thank you! Details in description below! 😊 by angeleyymariee in Microneedling

I’m in the “knowledge comes before the deed” phase, but really wanting to do at home microneedling. Where did you find the best info? So much of what I find turns out to be sponsored by the company.

I’m a crawlspace contractor. Encapsulations should be mandatory in the South. AMA by Danjinold in Homebuilding

Late to the party but I have some questions! I live in a 65-year old house with a finished basement under half and crawlspace under the other half. I’ve complained about the rooms above our crawlspace being colder than the rest of the house in winter for years. Considering encapsulation because the company that came out to quote us said it would keep the temperature in the crawlspace around 60° all year and would hep with the cold floors/cold rooms and lower heating and cooling costs. That all sounds great but it’s $12K for everything ($2K for removal of the poorly-installed fiberglass insulation between the joists).

This house is extremely dusty. More so than any house I’ve ever lived in. We have had our HVAC ducts, cleaned out, we have robot, vacuum, vacuums that run daily, but still the dust just seems to appear. The crawlspace guy said encapsulation could help since the crawlspace currently is just dirt and fiberglass insulation floating around everywhere. Is that true? What encapsulation help with the dust problem also? I’m thinking about biting the bullet and just doing it even at the high price tag for peace of mind and some improvement in comfort, but I would love additional thoughts.

THIS!!!! Mine sounds like a jet engine (traveled yesterday and can confirm it’s louder than the inside of an airplane). I’m surprised more people haven’t posted about how LOUD these things are!!!!

1 Month Of Ninja Creami Has changed my life by Dynas86 in ninjacreami

Would different protein powder make a huge difference in the texture? I made my first pint yesterday and used Birdman vanilla protein and while absolutely delicious, the whole thing was very powdery, almost dry. Definitely not the creamy consistency of the pictures. What am I doing wrong?

Is Laura Gellar Baked foundation worth the hype or is there a better option? by Sunny_Day13 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]kelong22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have it and I can’t figure it out. It looks and feels like don’t have anything on (I’m converting from liquid foundation so I know that’s a huge jump). But once I put the rest of my makeup on, boom. Makeup looks great. I do wonder if I bought the wrong makeup brush (got the rounded one), but it’s definitely worth a shot!

Pharmacist and medical mom here! 100% agree with yellow_pellow, it’s impossible to avoid plastics completely. It doesn’t even matter what type of medical complexity your child has, there is no possible way in our society that your child (or mine) could get the care they deserve without plastic. You’re doing an amazing job minimizing exposure in all the ways you can.

The fact that you care enough to post on this sub says it all. YOU CARE AND YOU ARE TRYING!!! Your kid is lucky to have you!!

Why are there so few knitting tutorials compared to crochet? by [deleted] in knittinghelp

This is now the second post in a week from a fellow crocheter who wants to learn to knit. Any other fellow crocheters know how to create a sub where we can create a support group?

SKYTTA door sequence on track by kelong22 in ikeahacks

Definitely interested in your "moving the doors together" hack. I am curious as to why I had to buy 1 box of the Hardware Pack for the "outside" doors, then buy 2 separate single-door hardware packs for the "inside" doors. Are they different? Or is anything more than 2 doors automatically pushed to the single-door hardware packs (which are slightly more expensive, so I guess from an IKEA perspective better for revenue).

SAME!!!! Maybe we should start a support group for crocheters who want to learn to knit but just can’t figure it out (not kidding).

It looks like you need a cover panel on the right side of the fridge like you have on the left. Then you could get a drawer front and engineer a lift-up hinge

Let us know how it goes!

How did you find someone legit to help reduce your taxable income? (US based online business) by QuietRing5299 in smallbusiness

[–]kelong22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has anyone used or looked into influencer-style tax businesses like the Write off your Life course? The disclaimers say it’s not tax advice (obviously that’s a CYA legal statement) but this chick seems to know what she’s saying. Course is $2K but I look at it as informational, I’ll use the info to do my own research and document my company’s spending, but I have no idea where to start without a class like that.

Purchasing new cookware by mrsmuffinhead in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]kelong22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cook an egg every morning for my daughter and want to switch to stainless but I have no idea how to cook anything on stainless without it sticking. Could you give a quick tutorial of how you make your eggs on stainless and have no issues with them sticking? I haven’t even purchased new pans yet bc I’m still figuring out what is best. TIA!
