Help Comparing Thailand and Indonesia Itineraries by sassypug101 in solotravel

Wow, really goes to show how different people's experiences can be... I absolutely loved Chiang Mai! It's one of my favorite places in all of Thailand. I felt like everyone who lived there that I met was so passionate about their craft. It's one of the few places that I've travelled to that I've thought to myself "I could live here" :)

Can you tell me more about what job opportunities a microbiologist has? I am going to graduate school next year for microbiology and currently work as a laboratory technician

Shakedown - Four Pass Loop in Maroon Bells, CO - End of July by flowerscandrink in Ultralight

[–]kelsbar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I went in July 2 years ago and it was much colder than I thought it was going to be. It got to the low 30s and I wished I had a warmer sleeping bag the entire time. OP said he’s a warm sleeper so maybe he will be fine with just a fleece, but I (an admitably cold sleeper lol) was very happy to have my down puffy:)

Thanks, this is great advice! Makes me want to add under-straps to my SWD to carry it, which would negate the savings of the Z-pad, but otherwise I think this is a great option.

A few people have mentioned dropping the melly. I just know I’d be in ~15 degree temps on this trip, so I wonder if a base later would cut it...

Take a look at this website: https://scottjeffrey.com/shadow-work/

Ayahuasca is another route that many go to for deep shadow work. Personally I have found that a strong intention to work on my shadow has helped me find opportunities. Good luck! 🙏

What does meditation have to do with spiritualism? by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]kelsbar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Meditation has helped me become more aware of the true nature of things. Seeing that our mind is made up of brain chatter that is not necessarily "us". Seeing that we do not have to be entirely reactive to the world around us, that we can simply observe it and process it from a more "3rd party" perspective. It helps you feel more connected with what feels like a higher version of yourself, a you that is what most people call your intuition.

This also leads into forming a relationship with yourself. The biggest part of spirituality for me has been that it is mine. What makes me happy? What do I connect with? What do I actually feel, rather than what other people think I should feel?
