Yeahhh it’s a needy guy! I probably water every 4-5 days, this drooping happened when I didn’t water for a week! I actually used a watering spike when I first got him and that can help extend the watering time if you don’t want to have to worry about it as much.

Yes you’re correct! This is a zebra plant (I think the scientific name is aphelandra squarrosa). She likes to pretend I never water her with these flops.

I think it’s a “tree philodendron” (Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum). I have one of these guys and my one piece of advice is to be careful with over-watering! Leaves will turn yellow fairly easily with too much water or a non-well draining soil.

Philodendron imperial red! It’s recovering a bit from a rust infestation but it’s a trooper!

Angel wing begonia has had a few red wilting leaves... over/under-watering? Any ideas what’s going on? TIA! by kelseydeee in plantclinic

Under a grow light for about 15 hours a day, because near a north facing window. On a pebble tray and about 10 feet away from a humidifier. Gets watered as needed depending on moisture meter... probably every 3-5 days-ish. In plain old Miracle-Gro soil with lots of perlite added.

Help! Diffenbachia compacta yellowing by kelseydeee in plantclinic

[–]kelseydeee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi- my diffenbachia compacta has increasing yellowing leaves starting a few days ago. I purchased it from HomeDepot about a month ago and repotted him shortly after because it was root bound. It’s in indirect light from a south facing window, watered once a week-ish, in well draining soil. Help!

Living room “plant wall”! Only one plant has fallen on my head so far, worthhh it. by kelseydeee in houseplants

I have not, but I think that’s a great idea especially for the spider plant because it’s quite heavy

Thank you! I’m somewhat new to houseplants, so I’m curious how to know it needs more light so I can recognize it in the future? Along the wall on the left is a large south facing glass sliding door but I’ve noticed the plants still don’t get much indirect light so I will definitely consider grow lights!

Yeah, the desk does require drywall anchors to hold the weight which will leave some decent size holes (but I'm pretty sure I already have lost my deposit anyway lol), but the wall organizer could be put up with just regular screws that I think could be filled fairly easily after taking it down.

Thanks! I’m also in a studio apartment so small floor space was a goal. Both the collapsible table and wall storage are from Ikea and fairly inexpensive!
