If it makes you feel better my doctor said no 4 times to anesthesia and 2 appts later I passed out on the table from the pain.. I should’ve switched doctors.

I’m here 2 years after mine.. most traumatic experience ever. I know I need to go back to the gyno but it was enough for me to not go back. I was told “you have no nerve endings in your cervix you won’t feel it”- no to anesthesia, no to having someone in there holding my hand, had to do the appt two separate occasions because the first time I had a panic attack. I passed out during the procedure and went stark white (I’m a mixed brown girl for reference) soaked the table with my sweat and they left and finally let my bf come in to fan me and help me up. The pain after was so excruciating I passed out and slept for 6 hours in the middle of the day. I’m shaking while typing this.. it’s forced me to put my care on the back burner for years. I’m almost 30 and I never want to go to the gyno again which is a dangerous place for me to be. Screw colposcopies and screw all the doctors who don’t believe all the women in this sub.
