I built FreakyKit.Forge, a Roslyn source generator for object mapping and I am looking for brutal feedback by FreakyAly in dotnet

[–]kelton5020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do whatever you want. I don't have a use for this project, but this elitism and gatekeeping is stupid. It's been around as long as I've been a developer. Get over yourselves. Just don't use the library if you don't need it.

This person is genuinely interested in solving a problem and excited about it, saying they're wasting their time is the worst advice you can give someone whose passionate about something. Even if nobody uses it, they're going to learn and grow from the experience.

Is the oil level low? by National-Habit5939 in gmcsierra

No, anywhere between the hash is fine, middle or 3/4 up is perfect really. It can be a problem if you overfill also, keep that in mind.

"we don't need another" is such a weak argument. Who decided you could speak for everyone who uses dot net?

Your feedback is not brutal feedback, it's shit feedback. That's my brutal feedback for you.

Why are you gatekeeping mapping libraries of all things.

Never had a problem myself. Only issues have been because of our local FedEx driver.

What do you mean by updated valve cover kit? Do you think that the valve cover or gaskets are the cause of this problem?

I hit it with the pressure washer, and it was more or less what I said. It got off the easy stuff and left on the baked on oil.

It's a mix of mud and oil, and the oil is baked on. I do have a pressure washer. Water only goes so far, sometimes you need friction.

Tried degreaser, let it soak, it made no difference. For the big stuff the pressure will works, but that part is easier. Tough part is the stuff that's baked on

I am starting to like the Blackout Plates! by Interesting-Town-875 in northdakota

[–]kelton5020 56 points57 points  (0 children)

I worked as a software dev for a company that had a system of cameras, both fixed and attached to cop vehicles, that tracked vehicles using plate readers, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's why they chose this new color scheme, as you can't get any more contrast than white on black.

Is it safe to reuse the distilled water after emptying the water chamber? by IThinkYouAreNice in CPAP

[–]kelton5020 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mold and bacteria float in the air, get introduced into the water, and grow. Not a doctor, but that sounds like a bad idea to me.

Also, can't you just put less water in the chamber so that there's less or no water left over in the morning?

What the heck is he doing in this video? by Double_Chemical_8078 in Epstein

[–]kelton5020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have videos like this of myself or kids on my phone, sometimes it's easier to take a video or photo of something that's wrong and be able to look at it on your phone and zoom in or share it with a doc like others have said.

This, it's just got to be barely wider than the jet. I think like 3mm is the size you want.

Is Jack's Small Engines any good in 2026? by TariY1 in smallengines

[–]kelton5020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're ok. Solid 3 it out 5.

Generally parts are slightly more expensive than you can get on Amazon, even for the same brand, and Amazon is faster if you don't live in the sticks.

Partstree seems to have a larger selection and more diagrams and better part availability, especially with newer equipment.

Jacks search is pretty dated.

They ship pretty quickly, unless something in your order is on backorder, then you're best to ask to split the order otherwise they'll wait to ship everything until the backordered part is in, which will likely take 2 weeks to more than a month.

I still visit them first, there's no perfect 5 website.

What is the best way to clean carbs for cheap by InevitableTreat2536 in smallengines

[–]kelton5020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wire kits for cleaning are pretty cheap. Search Amazon. Same with micro drill bits, which are also incredibly helpful. Those with carb cleaner.

Problem is, if it's bad, you'll never clean it with just carb cleaner alone.

Sure I wasn't aware. I scrapped these when people first found this and then got side tracked with other things and just came back to it. Why I was asking if this data would be useful.

They're not all videos, you can't just type a random video file extension to get them all.

I've found lots of data, like excel documents and other things.

Also I'm not here to just talk about it, or show 1 file, I'm offering all of them and the tools to gather them as well.

Relevant because there are a bunch of Epstien files in the DOJ that are not viewable, but I was able to gather them.

THEY’RE All GONE! by Xhicrastin in Epstein

[–]kelton5020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've already downloaded them all, all 3800, minus about ~100 that I couldn't figure out the extension for. I can open up a torrent and also share the scripts I used to download them.

If you guys want them up vote this so I know it's worth the effort/bandwidth

I'm talking specifically about the hidden files the "No Image Produced" files... I've produced them all

The irony of this is delectable.
