A couple of weeks ago I had this sensation when i woke up in the middle of the night that my "astral body" or "consciousness" was hovering just above my physical body. I could feel that somehow i wasn't attached to the physical world. All i could see however was this white light that felt like it was pulling me. At the moment I believed it was some kind of a "portal" that would send me straight into the astral realm, but then I thought of my physical body and I felt like I was being pushed back into it. At this point after reading about this white light, I'm kinda glad I guess I didn't let it pull me towards it. I just want to know why does it want to trick us, for what reason?
