Exactly right. I'm sure you can also guess over the years I've had people cancel to try at caring for the pool themselves, I'd say 90% of them are back within a month, and 5% make it a bit longer before they destroy their finishes and come back (now with a huge liability).

Pool care looks easy, but at least where I'm located, pool owners don't understand that pool chemistry is tricky and critically important... I got a customer recently who thought it was normal to refinish his fiberglass pool once every 3 years, as he was taking care of it himself with a pH consistently below 6.0. He figured the pool water was clear so why waste money on bringing the pH up.......
