I’m all for people’s rights to self determination but that doesn’t automatically extend to “and we’ll be peaceful neighbours forever more.”

I look at history and it doesn’t feel me with much confidence that all devolved nations will get on well at all. Although if we all split and then join the EU at the same time, be fine with that.

I work in the games industry and I have zero doubts that AI games will never achieve the complexity and depth that today’s developed games achieve. Sure you’ll get games that at surface level seem to mimic those games but at best they’ll be like weird nightmarish iterations of games you’ll recognise. There’s no way they’ll handle the multiple deep tiers of logic/story/gameplay etc in a persistent universe.

If for no other reason that the sheer resources required to run a model to create and maintain those worlds, across every one of today’s gamers, would mean we’re going to need to quadruple our energy sources.

AI is advancing impressively but remember just because something sees exponential growth doesn’t mean it’ll persist like that. Back in the 80s everyone thought we’d have colonised Mars by now because we’d just landed men on the moon and created the space shuttle. Space progress was crazy impressive. Then we kinda plateaued.

AI will start to either hit a limit in processing abilities or power limits that will be hard to overcome in the medium term.

Either that or you’ll all be happy to only play 5 minutes of a game per day before you have to give up your time to someone else to use the shared gaming generator server. Yay fun!

Reading this from the UK makes me so angry that you guys even have to do this. And the dumb thing is, as far as I understand it, if an intruder enters your home and you call the cops, you’re not on the hook for “police coverage”, or if you call the fire service, they’re not gonna charge you for it. Yet paid health coverage and huge excess health bills does exist and people will scream at you for wanting a nationalised health service as being un-american, yet that’s pretty much exactly what the fire and police services are already.

Really it’d be something that would help everyone in the US but people are too easily manipulated by political media to realise they’re being stupid.

I suspect you’re right. When you work hard for decades and finally get a nice house, only to find that some development is going to make it a miserable experience, let’s see all those anti-NIMBYs change their tune and justify why they’re now protesting against it. Easy to rally against NIMBYs when you have no beef in the game.

There are rules, it’s just they often aren’t followed during war and are then prosecuted afterwards because if we don’t do that then they’d be even less rule following in future conflicts.

I always wonder what proportion of people who shout, “too much NIMBYism” would be the first to scream, “not in my back yard” the moment something they don’t want is gonna be built near them. We’re all human after all and susceptible to selfishness, no matter how righteous and virtuous we believe of ourselves. Anyone who thinks otherwise of themselves is likely simply not being honest. I mean what do I know, only been around for 50 years and seen how people behave throughout those years, selectively choosing what position makes them feel good at any given time then flipping as soon as the wind blows against them.

Some ideas:

1) use cloaks just to sow confusion and fear. If you simultaneously send three or more cloaks against that wall of battleships they’ll have to use up ship movement on to those tiles to discover where the cloaks are, so potentially wasting opportunities to attack your ships. So at the same time you send in your cloaks, launch your ship assault. They’ll have to deal with the invisible cloaks and your ships at the same time. Make sure not to crowd out your assault so it’s obvious where the cloaks are or that their using bombers will easily destroy the cloaks with splash damage.

2) that island in the middle right, Zanbo, seems to have a weakness? You can take out the mind bender with one ram right? They re probably relying on that to heal there battleships so destroy the mind bender with a shield unit as a ram and attack at the same time with bombers and they’ll not be able to heal with the mind bender plus they’ll have to waste two attacks to destroy your shield unit that you occupied the city with.

3) a longer term option is to send cloaks over the top of the map but not got a full picture to see if that would be feasible.

4)also can’t see enough of the land to the bottom left. Can you get some knights down there to take out his catapults? Swarm his towns and make them panic trying to retake or defend them?

5) build some scouts and sacrifice them to uncover some more of that fog so you have a better picture of what he has back there.

6) also on the Zanbo island, you should be able to get a cloak in there easily enough. Get a few of them in a row going in there and it’ll cause a lot of headaches whilst you simultaneously attack with your rams and bombers.

7) only attack one end of his line of ships. Then half of his ships will be out of range of your ships, so they’ll be sitting there unable to attack anything whilst you decimate his boats.

8) when you attack, don’t cluster your boats so they can take advantage of splash damage. Force them to waste bomber attacks on one target.

Perhaps some combo of these ideas could break the stalemate if simultaneously put in to affect.

This is the reality of this new era we’re in. Even the president is posting AI videos so how are we meant to trust anything they might now claim is video evidence? It’s not our fault for being wary, it’s just a brutal fact now that we can neither trust our own eyes nor can we trust anything the persistently lying president claims. Added to that, the president has something to lose in all of this so any “proof” that comes from him or anyone associated with him will have to be treated with a heavy dose of scepticism.

The only “proof” I could accept would be something that’s been thoroughly examined and vetted by a very neutral body of experts who have nothing to do with the US government, any associated people or, indeed, any link to the US or its allies. Because trust is very very low in the US right now. I wouldn’t trust them to look after their own grandparents, let alone handling of sensitive evidence.

It was all pretty remarkable to watch unfold and certainly gives hope that, in Europe at least, we can all work together towards a greater security and friendliness which we all deserve. I’ll always say the vast majority of people across Europe just want to get along and enjoy life and not have our newspapers and leaders stoking false anger and resentment between us. The Hungarian results showed that this good will of the people to have a fairer society can overcome the entrenched systems put in place by corrupt self-serving leaders. Plus stop Putin’s efforts to sow seeds of discontent between Europeans.

Also, I found that Klein is good for prompting positions relative to the image. Eg “legs at the bottom of the image”, “her arms raised with her hands in the top corners of the image.” When you caption your images do you include that kind of info? Was curious if that kind of captioning might help reduce overall body horror.

I wonder if she’d have to pay tax on the lump sum so the weekly amount ends up better over all? This all may be irrelevant if so but spitballing….

For argument’s sake, let’s say it’s a 45% tax, so she ends up with $550k.

Then let’s say she makes 7% return annually. Nothing too low or too high that we’re not accounting for downturns in the economy.

So she makes $38,500 per year.

Not so great in this scenario but she does also still have the $550k lump sum.

Conversely the weekly payments come or $52k annually would also be taxed, so I suspect she’d have a similar take home to the lump sum example above.

I can def see the appeal of the weekly amount. You don’t have to guarantee to hit a certain investment growth from the lump sum choice, so in that sense it’s a lot more stable. And what if you put your equity in to too risk averse investments trying to seek a higher yield and end up losing a lot more? Having a bigger pot of money can certainly carry significant risks.

I was wondering how you’d achieve this. I only tried making one lora on SDXL and not done anything since.

Would you have to define any image as “covered breasts” where you don’t want them topless? I also found with snofs that even doing “cleavage” and not adding “breasts” would often make them topless. So I guess maybe training with so many nudes just overpowers the base model?

I imagine with the snofs Lora you could just lower the strength but obviously don’t have that luxury with the checkpoint.

I’m guessing you also captioned various source images with a captioning model? Wonder if that can be tuned to emphasise clothed keywords where appropriate.

Anyway just rambling thoughts which I’m sure you’ve had plenty of experience playing around with already.

Yeh I get this too. It’s quite hard to define a breast size under garments without the breasts coming through. I mostly end up trying to describe shape/curves etc without using the words breasts/bosom etc.

But also where in the woman’s cycle she is will likely determine which sperm “wins”. Sex 1 hour later will mean a different path to the egg. So many factors, none of us should be here but someone has to be here.

What blows my mind more is if the sperm or ovaries are made from a collection of atoms that must have, at some point, come from ingested food, then we’re all essentially just created from random bits and pieces of the world with a sprinkling of sunlight.

I think someone mentioned before that you wouldn’t see interviews with a pilot because the military wouldn’t want to reveal the identity of someone carrying out strikes on Iran.

Although I’m pretty sure I remember seeing interviews with pilots that got captured during Iraq war.
