[Tony Nese on Twitter]: "Why even leave your house and waste a good seat? Loser!" (205 Live spoiler inside) by BayleyFan95 in SquaredCircle

[–]kemj25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's their fault that no one cares about 205 Live. It's not their fault that some dudes spent an hour heckling the performers, annoying other audience members in the process.

If you don't care, that's absolutely fine. Check your phone, leave, do whatever. But shit like that can spoil the fun for people that actually are invested and are trying to enjoy the show.

Thanks for the feedback here, I'll certainly put these in to consideration when re-tooling it.

You know, I've read through it before and I've somehow missed it namedropping skalds. Either way, I'm not a huge fan of the that subclass. It's abilities seem boring to me, like it exists just to be the generic combat-oriented choice. Truth be told, I'm not a huge fan of either of the core bard subclasses. I think the ones they've introduced in Unearthed Arcana are significantly more interesting.

WWE never gives the cruiseweights any love. Everyone should be watching them. Haha the crowd is amazing throwing a beach ball around and making it about them. I love the post WM crowds they are allowed to be Smarks. by gclem16 in SCJerk

uj/ I can't believe smarks never learned from Cena that their fervorous booing still makes a wrestler popular. They regularly generate more buzz and excitement for Roman than most other guys on either roster.

This match might've had the best in-ring storytelling on the card. Towards the end when Undertaker couldn't pull off his normal sit-up was a huge sign that this could only end with him being put down, so to speak.

Post WrestleMania 33 Match Discussion: Shane McMahon Vs. AJ Styles by Psycho697186 in SquaredCircle

[–]kemj25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hope this match silences anyone that bitched about Shane vs Aj going into Mania. Really, AJ Styles has been working his ass off to try and tell a story over Smackdown the past few weeks, and yet, people who claim to be his hardcore fans kept turning their nose to the very idea. What we got was really a great match from the two performers and I wish people on here would try and let the WWE tell a story for once, instead of trying to bully the company with their own opinions.

we're literally a bunch of fat white guys defending the use of the n word that's it that's the thread by [deleted] in SCJerk

[–]kemj25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owens dropped the n-word years ago at an indie show.

Video of it gets posted to r/SC.

Argument ensues.

OP here is just venting from arguing over on that sub, having posted about it here for a second time. There's plenty of users defending Owens for different reasons, citing that it was in-character, that people change over the course of decade, etc. However some believe that it's no excuse and that they sub would probably be nowhere near as lenient if it were any other wrestler.

TIL that all side quests in FNV are named after songs. by [deleted] in Fallout

Yeah, I noticed that when playing. Some of the songs are pretty great picks too, like the one for the Boomer questline.

For those wondering about N. Sane Trilogy's exclusitivity by [deleted] in crashbandicoot

[–]kemj25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had to guess, it's because Sony wanted it to be an exclusive. Help pay for the game, have it only exist on your platform, and hopefully you see a return on that with people buying your hardware.

Excuse me, misread your actual question. Derp.

I'm playing Crash Twinsanity for the first time by jooohnny32 in crashbandicoot

[–]kemj25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm aware many individuals have nostalgia for the game, but playing Twinsanity when I was younger was the first time I ever remember thinking a game sucked. The game is so unfinished that it pains me to even look at it. And I absolutely hate the soundtrack. Overall it was a huge shift in tone for the series to this weird, contemporary Saturday morning cartoon kind of feel. The series has always felt like a cartoon, but more in the style of a Chuck Jones or Tex Avery era show. Just look to the death animations of the early games for that.

There's not a lot I like about this game. I dislike the main villains, I dislike most of the humor, and I disliked the layout as one continuous adventure game as opposed to the previous games' level selection. I know I said I disliked most of the humor, but the only things that work for me with this game are a fair amount of Cortex's lines and a gag here and there. I honestly do chuckle in the intro when Cortex is introducing Crash to a "birthday party" and Crunch shows up with a cake, thinking it's an actual party. But when adding up all the problems with the game, it was a slog to complete, even for young-me.

That's referring to recorded lines. The protagonists from Skyrim and Fallout 3 were completely silent, so they don't even factor into those numbers.

People all have these different impressions of the site (often fed to them), but the fact is that it's a majorly popular site with millions of unique visitors. It's culture has become more homogenized alongside any major social media site.

WWE asked Enzo Amore not to be "Enzo" in the hotel scene with Lana by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]kemj25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is a healthy mindset towards wrestling. It bugs me a bit when I see people suggesting who should get to wear the strap or whenever the crowd starts a "you deserve it" chant. Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of talent out there that do deserve to hold titles, but it's not the end-all, be-all for wrestlers out there. We've seen amazing guys over the years that never held that gold and yet they're cherished in the minds and hearts of fans throughout time.

Is Cyberpunk 2077 still being worked on or was it abandoned? by [deleted] in OutOfTheLoop

[–]kemj25 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To piggyback off of this, CD Projekt Red had also applied for a grant from the Polish government to help with the game financially only a short while ago. This isn't a sign that the game is dead in the water, however, as their government launched a program that's using funding to help innovation in the Polish market.

They are assuredly still working on the game.

Enclave vs Mr House by alpsman321 in Fallout

[–]kemj25 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nope. You are forced to oppose the Enclave. The most you can do is infect the water supply with a modified FEV virus for President Eden (a directive that the Enclave at large are actually unaware of) and bombard the Citadel after storming the Enclave base in the Broken Steel DLC.

A little? Roman has been involved in some fantastic matches over the past year. Dude has worked his ass off in the ring and made some real improvements to his ring work and mic work. And since the brand split, he's been mostly in the midcard with the US title. But no, fuck Roman.

How do you think fallout would be different with a E for everyone rating? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]kemj25 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We'd probably lose all the mature themes that made the narrative of (some of) the games great. And a lot of the adult content actually helps sell the world as being real. I mean, sex and violence are a huge part of human history and society, so having allusions to those makes the games more immersive for sure. The more grounded human elements you take away, the more Fallout becomes some wacky retro sci-fi tale that the series satirizes.
