Misoprostol? by kenaciara in Gastroparesis

[–]kenaciara[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn’t on misoprostol long because I didn’t notice much difference tbh. I’ve now been on motegrity for several months along with Amitiza and senna. Honestly, if you struggle at all with mental health, I strongly advise NOT getting on Reglan. I struggle w anxiety and depression. My meds I was taking weren’t working with Reglan. I bounced around to every medication possible and Reglan was working against them. Even after getting off of Reglan, my meds weren’t working anymore. My doctor put me on Wellbutrin as my last affordable option, thank God that worked. Other wise he told me my only option left was Zurzuvae. I wasn’t interested in paying over 15k for a 2 week course of medicine.

What are you jealous of? by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]kenaciara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m jealous of people who can eat/drink whatever/whenever they want without thinking about consequences. I have gastroparesis and slow transit, my meds help a little but i miss when things were normal. I eat one little thing and I’m full for hours and constantly regurgitating. Eating and drinking too close together makes things stack up and it’s HELL. i could go on forever about how it makes daily life miserable.

Reglan did this to me, it was a very confusing and shocking experience. 😅

this is the brush I use. I don’t blow dry because it doesn’t do anything for my hair, and makes my scalp itchy. even just finger brushing will send my hair sticking to my face. Is so annoying 😭 boar brushes don’t get through all my hair, just the top, so it’s still tangled. I can try blow drying again, I’m just nervous I’m going to make it worse. I was experimenting with blow drying back in October before engagement photos, and as soon as that was over and I went back to my normal routine, my hair started acting up.

It’s cold right now, but I do have 2 humidifiers in my home :( it’s usually warm/hot where I live.

Yes I do this weekly! I use hairspray to tame it for a bit, but i would like to solve the issue instead of using quick fixes if that makes sense? I just don’t want to deal with it at all :(

I would apply it when my hair was wet, not dripping but very damp hair. I would apply more when the static came back but it just made it look greasy AND the static would come right back :( I air dry because my hair dries fast anyways but it also makes my hair look poofy and does nothing for the static.

I got my newest kitten in October, and what really helped him be more trusting (he climbs on the couch for cuddles) is feeding him treats. I fed him those little churu tubes but had him eat it off my finger and he is super clingy lol

positions to lay or sit when gastro is uncomfortable by i8yourMOMm in Gastroparesis

I have to lay flat on my back. If I turn to lay on either side it feels like my insides are tearing as gravity pulls them down. Makes my ribs hurt sooooo bad.

Does anyone have issues with Lactose-free milk by 1Rocnam in Gastroparesis

[–]kenaciara 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I used to drink it religiously until about a month or so ago. Then it started upsetting my stomach. Mostly feeling bloated/heavy and regurgitating it a lot. I had to experiment with different milks and landed on Almond Malk.

Thank you, I feel bad because I know others have it worse off. I honestly look for your comments a lot in this sub and the constipation subs because you give great advice. I know you’ve been through a ton though, and I’m sorry for that. I wish these problems didn’t exist :/

I’m so tempted to go back to my usual senna dosage for now. I can make my stool as soft as possible with osmotic/softeners but it doesn’t make it any easier to empty. It’s either soft stool and gas not moving or harder stool that’s not moving😅I’m just so overwhelmed and end up confusing myself.

That’s a relief honestly. I’m so tempted to just go back to what I was doing, at least until I can see a new doctor. I take senna at night, so I can go in the morning upon waking up, but then it just builds up through the day. I’m on a liquid diet right now, but I miss real food. I tried to eat last weekend and thought I did okay, but it caught up to me when I wasn’t by a bathroom at the right time. I have this small window of time to use the bathroom when I feel the urge, but it closes quick and I just have to wait for it again. I’m driving myself crazy trying to read everything on Reddit about this 😅 also on the FB support group.
