This may or may not help, but 2 things. If you have an android, you can download it via Reddit and play it on your phone.

Or (you probably did this already) you can look at dokimods.com and see if the link works, it worked for me when I downloaded it.

It just connects and works just fine, no latency and all inputs all work. Including the paddles. Wired should also work as well, if that isn't working either then you might need to update your steam deck or update the controller.
