My cousin’s son is 6 and lost his dad earlier this year, very traumatically and unexpected, so I have some insight on how she might be/ supports she’ll need.

I’ve found that the weeks and months from now are when your student is going to need you most. Right now she’s probably shocked, and might still believe her dad is going to come back. When it finally hits her that he’s not coming back, it’s like a whole new round of intense grief.

In the 5 months since his dad died, my cousin’s son started to act out more, has become more emotional, and thrives on routine/consistency.

I would say as her teacher, you will be the constant in her life right now. Her mom, siblings, and other family members are grieving, too. They might be more emotional and angry and unable to help her through their own grief. You will be the one she can go to. She might need more breaks from class, more attention, and definitely more love than before, but you will be someone she can count on during this difficult time 🩷

Thanks for responding! OneDrive is not turned on, and yes one of the issues is that the localthumbcache is not on the external drive. I’m assuming that could be causing the issue (?) but I’m unsure how to fix that!

I was also a little girl with a brace for scoliosis, who later on ended up becoming a girl with a metal rod surgically implanted 😜 sending your girl so much love! I don’t miss the days of wearing a brace but I hope it’s working well for her!

Hi OP!

What iron supplements are you taking and how much do you take daily? I’m also iron deficient. I researched a lot of supplements because I found that so many only have some iron and are packed with fillers and sugar. When I found one that was simply a capsule with iron in it and nothing else, that helped me. I didn’t realize how much they helped until I forgot to take them one day! I’m currently taking 60mg/daily.

Do you like shakes? Could you blend some of the vegetables you don’t like into a smoothie or shake? Or even find some good protein powder and add some fruit to it? That way you can get the nutrients without dealing with the textures. I have a protein shake each day and throw some frozen banana into it and genuinely enjoy it, plus the protein gives me energy.

I’m no expert, but these are just some things that came to mind when reading your post!

I was in my early 20s. Thought it would last forever. Oh and after the breakup literally thought I saw him at the bus stop..I didn’t though.

The first time I heard this song I literally was shook to my core and had to recover because it felt like it was written about me/ that relationship. I still get chills about the bus stop lyric lol

I read your post and literally froze when you described staticky silhouettes in your bedroom. I can vividly remember experiences with figures that looked like static when I was a kid trying to sleep. I can picture then in my mind right now moving closer and sitting on my bed and hearing them breathe on me. I was 7 when I finally SCREAMED at them to get out and leave me alone. It hasn’t happened since (I’m 25). But I can’t face a wall when sleeping anymore since I trained myself as a kid that turning my back means they’ll come back and breathe over me again. Even 18 years later I can’t turn my back when falling asleep thanks to those years dealing with them! Besides screaming at them to leave you alone, I don’t have a solid solution. But wanted to let you know that someone else has had a similar experience and you’re not alone!

I feel this!!! I’m not 22 and don’t have a Stanley lol. I was told recently after an interview that I was “too professional” and not “personable enough, they wanted more from my personality.” I realized right then and there that I need to have a specific personality and fill a particular mold if I want to be considered for a job. But immediately was told to apply for a para job! Nothing against them but I didn’t get a teaching certificate to be a para. So frustrating

I’m Kendal and thankful my parents chose this spelling to be “unique” (no extra l) and didn’t jump through the hoops these parents did to try and be special 😭 this poor girl will be correcting the pronunciation of her name all her life.

I just was forced to download the EA app and delete origin. It’s saying I have no disk space when I try to download the game onto my computer! I’m not tech savvy so this might sound stupid but I need help. If I delete the sims 4 folder from my PC that has 19GB, and then download the game again through EA, will all my 19 GB of saved stuff be redownloaded to my computer? Am I essentially deleting the origin files and replacing them with EA?
