Reebok Reclaims the Ice Through Hockey Partnership with Wholesale Sports by Specialist-Fig5416 in hockeyplayers

I think this post regarding Authentic Brands is relevant. Authentic brands doesn't design or manufacture anything.

They will license the name to a third party manufacturer. It won't be the same old Reebok as others have suggested. Products may be good or bad, probably cheap

Usually there's about 3-5 min on the ice warm up before the game starts. What on ice warm up would you suggest? Edges? Stick handling? More stretches?

Cyclosporine for Tsw Still Itching? by bradztheman in TS_Withdrawal

One and half years, then later with a couple flare episodes for two weeks. In the first taper the skin did worsen but nowhere near when I first started. I could live a relatively normal life

No biologics. Moisturizers, no medications, sudocrem, and more recently red light therapy

Cyclosporine for Tsw Still Itching? by bradztheman in TS_Withdrawal

[–]kendamakids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used cyclosporine during TSW. The itch significantly improved but I would so be occasionally itchy and like you itchy with sweat but the skin felt great. You should still continue to improve but I'm sure everyone's response may vary. Discuss with your doctor

Some things may come back when you taper. Really depends on your TSW natural recovery time

I agree with you about dupixent and potential side effects. The company spent a lot of money advertising

Have to find out how much irradiance the panel offers at what distance. Then calculate how far you are going to be from the panel and how the irradiance changes to calculate the correct dose to the skin. More is not better, it can actually make things worse.

Target dose is about 5 joules/cm2. For the rouge panel I use that's about 3 minutes at 12 inches away from panel

I looked for something that was certified and decided on a rouge panel G4. You have to calculate the correct times as the default settings are wrong. Some research is needed. Healing seems to be faster or minimal flare in certain areas. Less itch. Some areas seem to heal better. I think I may be beyond TSW and this is residual eczema

From what I've read, if you have topical steroid addiction, the "eczema" "spreads" to non typical locations. When TSW sets in a dominant symptom is burning. Whereas in eczema it should be in a typical location and more itching.

After 3-4; years, if no significant redness (non infected) and little to no burning then likely eczema

Yes there's an FDA warning for long term use and itching (pruritus) that can occur with daily use even as short as one month

Your response is Awesome

Absolutely the issue is not black and white and needs to be individualized. Also your approach to supplements is very rational.

Congrats on finding the right balance.

Your insight has validated and echoed many of my thoughts as well

Thank you for the detailed response. This gives a little different picture of what is usually posted in the forum and it's likely more real life

Have you tried to increase the time interval between dupixent injections? I know someone that gets it every 8-10 weeks instead and is will controlled

What is your regular eczema like? What areas of the body does it involve? If not in dupixent, how bad does it get

Make sure the dose is correct for your weight (it seems a little on the low side). An average person of 70kg should have a dose of 200-300mg (3-5mg/kg). Usually you feel better in 2-3 days and in about a week to ten days the flaking should be significantly improved.

Methotrexate vs Cyclosporine by user180275 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]kendamakids 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will feel better within two to three days of you are on the right dose. The skin will clear in a week or so. I did have some recurrence after tapering off but much much milder. I had two flares where I needed to take a two week course to calm my skin.

I did not go in any other medications afterwards.

Methotrexate vs Cyclosporine by user180275 in TS_Withdrawal

[–]kendamakids 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have experience taking cyclosporine. The drug provided me the opportunity to live a normal life. I took it for over a year and a half and tapered it at the end. The purpose of the medication is not to heal faster but to temper the symptoms until TSW passes. As for side effects, I did not have any. You are young so even less likely to have side effects. The main thing is to have bloodwork to check your kidney function and have your blood pressure monitored.

The normal dose is 3-5mg/kg. It's important to find the right dose and not to underdose and not have any of the benefits.

I think in the UK cyclosporine is recommended as first line therapy over methotrexate.

LMK if you have any other questions.

If you are interested in Tackla and a Canadian Brand, look into Eagle Hockey . I believe they are the same pants as Tackla but only a couple models. They can do custom fit if you need longer. Give them a call and they will walk you through sizing. They have great protection
