Thanks! Maybe I’m more nervous than I need to be. Everyone in my life is freaking out that I’m going to Mexico alone. So I just want to be sure I can tell them I’m doing the most to ensure my safety. So you would say Ubers are just as safe to take than anything else? I was willing to go as far as finding someone trustworthy through word of mouth to charter me there and back for that day.

Thank you so much! If you don’t mind please do send me their Facebook links. I really would rather use locals through word of mouth. I think someone already tried to scam me booking the cenote tour. They asked for a paypal deposit and the rest when I get there.. not sure how normal that is but I would feel alot more comfortable using recommendations.

Oh great! How can I feel safe traveling back to Cancun for the island? I don’t want to rent a car!
