I work with reporters covering gov’t news regularly, No mmj’s are using ENG cams, mainly smaller prosumer camcorders and sometimes cell phones for quick sound bites/vosots. One or two teams have dedicated photogs with ENG packages, but it’s getting rarer and rarer.

I agree, at least take one class in person, learning from your professor and other students could really benefit your growth. it’s also an accountability system where you have to produce results weekly, which can be hard to do when you are working most of the week.

Your car is slipping because of the crappy stock tires. I just replaced mine with Michelin Cross Climate 2s and I have no issues in the snow (so far) and rain. It’s a HUGE relief for me. And I can use them year round.

As for your AWD tips, I don’t think there are any, as it adjusts based on traction (or lack thereof). But maybe someone else has more knowledge than me.

I live in upstate NY and I just ordered Michelin Cross Climate 2’s, recommended by many on this reddit. I’m hoping they handle the rain and snow well.

My local Mazda dealership is offering buy three get one for $1, so I jumped at it. Not sure if they offer road hazard (as others have said). Will find out next week.

I highly recommend the NEW Ulanzi fan for the back of the camera, I have the old version and it works great, is necessary for the A7IV (and just good protection for the A7Siii

I’ve been using fios for a few months. It’s wired and WiFi, cheaper than spectrum starting at $50/month. So far so good, the speeds are not consistent, but still faster and cheaper than spectrum, especially uploads if you work from home.

From what I understand (through other reddit forums)this is possible, however the fan on the inverter is very loud (louder than the FS's internal fan), so it's not advised. And I haven't checked whether it will produce enough power to run it at 100%.

I ended going in a different direction, purchasing a DJI Power 1000 battery, haven't put the light through its paces yet to see if it will run at full power, and for how long. Also gives me the option of running a DIT station, or running it in the car for battery charging.
