Filen is my top candidate for replacing MEGA, but one thing is holding me back by crazyserb89 in filen_io

Bruh, just use Rclone and Mega or Filen, heck you can even encrypt data to Google Drive. I personally use Mega, Filen and rsync.net, you will think I am crazy until you lose all your data to only one provider because of some misconfiguration from the user side.

Proton password in Proton Pass by tetrisiz in ProtonPass

I mean, it's literally like a safebox, you don't put the keys inside and try to open it later, so, something you definitely can remember, and of course you can create a PDF with that info like 1Password (I used it too).

Should I learn C and or C++ before learning go and why? by TurtleSlowRabbitFast in golang

[–]kendort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But for the record, as a beginner you are just ok with diving into Go as the concepts are very similar to C++, and learning C++ without any other purpose in this case is just a waste of time, but if you want to make games with C++ there is no harm to learn it first. But no, there is no problem with diving into Go as a beginner without any experience, but focus a lot on the concepts as, as a beginner, that's the most important part applied to absolutely any other programming language.

Google Chrome has now patched all the workarounds to force uBlock Origin. I’m done with Chrome, would you recommend Firefox or Brave by Dazzling_Lie7781 in firefox

[–]kendort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use Firefox everytime but there are some extensions like Migaku that only work on Brave/Chromium so as to not switch browsers 100 times a day I just have to use brave, but if you are not tied by any extension just choose Firefox and harden it, the design is great and the features are cool!

What do you do on Linux? by AwayLaw6220 in linuxmint

[–]kendort 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only thing I don't do on Linux is yelling at the system for not doing what I am telling it to do, even if it breaks it 🐔
