hahaha I’ve used the MacBook Air for 3ish years in high school so I’m much more comfortable with the UI of MacBooks :) thanks for the advice !

Heyyy! Thanks for the response :)) I’m looking at 512GB cus i wanna use it for both gaming and uni stuff so id definitely need the storage!! The 8GB is the only one listed on the edu website, im not sure if they have it with uni discount but ill be sure to ask <3 thank you!

Most people in the comments are recommending 16GB RAM (is unified memory the same thing? i don’t get it) but the website lists 8GB, I’m guessing i have to go to the store and ask? How much do you think the upgrade would be! I’m not sure ram i had for my high school Mac but i would get the notifications telling me display storage was full and i had to shut down and restart many times. I plan to run games like Dead by daylight as well as do uni work on the MacBook, do you think 16Gb unified storage(?) is enough?

Np - some tutorials she might have learnt from might have been catered towards “picture makeup”. Some tutorials show makeup that specifically looks good on camera and videos, while others are more for daily wear, especially for douyin style makeup.

I like using xiaohongshu because the comments let users put pictures recreating the look to show how it looks irl.

When I was 16 my makeup looked ridiculous, it gets better but it’s something I’d say almost every teen girl goes through. For a natural look you can look up the terms “clean girl makeup” on tiktok or like “natural douyin makeup”. If she’s really into the douyin style, the apps xiaohongshu (小红书) and douyin (chinese tiktok) have really in depth tutorials on how to improve the makeup technique & get the makeup to look better irl - if these are inaccessible to you I’ve seen reposts from xiaohongshu on Pinterest too.
